"Hey there Hot lips! What's a hot bod like you, doing in the cold weather?" She flirted. But Max just ignored her terrible pick up line, and focused on what just happened. Who was that girl? Where did she go? Vanessa had just walked through her, like she never existed.

"Um...sorry Vanessa. But I have to go." Leaving Vanessa at the Cherry tree, he ran to the boys bathroom and splashed cold water over his sweaty face. He didn't know what to think, what to say and do. Should he just pretend it's his imagination? Or was it real? So confusing and mysterious.

After school, Max didn't talk to Alex for the rest of the day. He could tell Alex was worried about him, but he wasn't in shape to talk to anyone at that moment. Still trying to recover his mind about... her.  It seemed impossible. He decided to walk home alone too. When he arrived at his front door, his Dad had left it open for him. He walked through and collapsed on the sofa with his almost-drunk Father.
"How was school kid?" He asked his beloved son. Pretending he was interested in what he was up to.
"Not much Dad." Max replied shortly. Even when he clearly had a confusing and remarkable day.
"Ok, you know this show is very interesting! It's about Paranormal Investigators. They're trying to figure out if ghosts are real!" His Dad started laughing. He didn't believe in any 'stupid, silly' nonsense like that.
"You mean, like ghosts?" Max asked. He never really payed attention to 'Paranormal' type topics.
"Yeah. Pretty interesting really." Suddenly, a thought passed through Max's mind. Was that girl imagination? Or reality? Rather he was going mad or Vanessa really did just walk completly through that girl. He had to know.
"Dad, I'm going down to the library. Be back at six." Max quickly grabbed his hoodie, phone and earphones. And rode his bike down to the library.

The library was already full of students searching for textbooks

The library was already full of students searching for textbooks. He knew where the library was, since he had to walk passed it when getting home from School. He scanned books again, again and again. Until he came across a sentence which might of just answered his questions. He found a familiar definition saying
'An apparition of a dead person which is believed to appear or become manifest to the living, typically as a nebulous image.' This information meant the word 'Ghost'.
After finding this type of information, he kept telling himself he's crazy. But apart from him wanted to search for that girl again. He grabbed his bike and ran to the tree right outside the school. The field was always open.  He searched the tree, hoping the mysterious stranger would appear again.  He sat under the Cherry tree, looking up at the stars.  He wondered if his Mum might be  watching over him, as a beautiful star.
"Fascinating aren't they?" A voice behind him appeared. He jumped up and quickly turned around. It was her.
"It's you!" He said excitingly. He felt glad to see her again. She felt like he bought warmth and happiness to his heart! He never felt this way before.
"Yeah, I didn't expect you to come back here..." she said while using her fingers to move a strand of her long fluffy brown hair away from her blushing face. Max took a deep breath.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"I...don't know." She answered. She looked away from him. "You know what I am... Dont you?" Max had a serious look on his face.

"Are you... dead?" Max asked again. She looked at him seriously.

"Yes...I'm a Ghost."Max was confused when she said that.

"Then how come only I can see you?"

"That's what I want to find out too! I... haven't been touched or seen for years." As soon as those words came out, Max felt sorry for her. He obviously believed her for what he witnessed when she was around. But why can he see her?
