"Karablast." Zeb cursed under his breath. The rest of the crew was momentarily speechless. Hera quickly took control of the situation.

"Zeb! I need you gunning. Kanan, assist me in the cockpit. Sabine, go help Zeb." She shouted commands at her crew. Kanan and Zeb nodded quickly and sprinted to their positions. Sabine felt torn.

"What about Ezra?" She sputtered, scared. "This may be our last chance to save him!" As soon as she said that, TIE fighters began to shoot at them. The Ghost shook as one of the imperial pilots made their shot.

"We need to turn back!" Mon Mothma's voice crackled over the transmitter. "The rebellion is no match for all these Star destroyers! We are greatly outnumbered!" The woman stated the obvious.

Hera looked around the area. All around her, X-wings were being shot down. She could see burning rebellion ships crashing down towards Mustafar. This was exactly what Ezra didn't want. Everyone trying to rescue him and ending up killed in the process. But they couldn't just leave him there.
"General! My crew and I are staying here! We are continuing the rescue mission. If possible, tell your troops to make the jump back to the base." Hera shouted into the radio, while piloting her ship through the treacherous terrain.

There was a pause on the other side of the transmitter. Mon Mothma finally stated "Agreed. May the force be with you, Captain Syndulla." With that, the radio went silent.

Sabine's heart kept with joy. They would continue the mission! They would save Ezra. Hera glanced back at the mandalorian for a split second. "What are you waiting for, Spector 5? Go gear up."

Sabine nodded, in assent and ran to go get ready. "You too." Hera added, to Kanan, who had been sitting next to her the whole time, focused on copiloting. "Sabine can't do the mission alone. She needs your guidance, love."

The Jedi master got up from his seat in agreement. "What do you think I was planning to do?" He asked, before running off after Sabine.

Sabine and Kanan boarded the main star destroyer. There had been a latch underneath the imperial ship that they had discovered. The plan was to find Ezra, rescue him, and radio Hera to meet back at the rendezvous point. A simple plan. In Sabine's experience with the crew, simple plans succeeded half of the time. Note the word half.

They were so close to saving Ezra....
