Family History; Arie was born onto the ranch to a mother who was euthanized at birth due to complications. Bailey raised him up from a foal and also trained him with very little assistance from her father. The year before Bailey's father passed, he helped her build a jumping course which Arie took to like a fish to water. He thought of Bailey as his odd shaped mother and was very willing and eager to learn under her, and absolutely loved to jump. He never liked the ranch work that well. Before he was gelded he did jump the fence to get in with the pretty mare next to him and thus Barbedwire, his only offspring was created. Arie passed unexpectedly during a morning jump session due to a Aortic Rupture near the end of May just days before Bailey was to graduate.

Confirmation; Arie had a pretty head, very characteristic and complementing to his expressive brown eyes. He was a bit short in the neck, and a tad downhill, but that never bothered Bailey. He had good solid bone structure through his legs which helped tremendously with his jumping. Being a bit downhill made the slope to his rump a slight bit steeper than preferred. His muscling due to the physical demands of ranch work before he discovered jumping left him very well muscled through his rump. He had a nice deep set to his chest, and a nice wide barrel that allowed Bailey to ride him bareback with ease. She always preferred him be a little wide than on the bony side.
