Written in Stone; Spotty

Born to be; Appaloosa

Roamed the mountains;  5 years old

Molded to be; Gelding

Painted with; Chocolatey bay in color in his spots other than where his black points are. Significantly more spots on his face and near his elbows and stifle than anyone else. His black points are also broken with white, and his mane and tail are streaked with a combination of all three colors; black dominate with white and brown.

Family History;  Spotty was an untouched three year old pasture ornament when Jake purchased him. His previous owners had bought him as a weanling for their child whom had wanted a spotted baby horse. They were not prepared for the time or responsibility it took to break a horse for riding so Spotty became a pretty sight to look at in a large field until the family decided to move and sell the horse. Jake purchased Spotty to train as a back up horse as at the time he had only one, his gelding Boomerang, and knew the ranch would require a lot physically from a horse and needed another as a back up. He broke Spotty in at the ranch and for the past two years has been working him as his main ranch horse, giving Boomerang a much needed break from the day to day of riding.

Confirmation; Well as any horse that spends way too much time in the pasture, poor Spotty has had a grass belly for as long as Jake has owned him. Despite his almost daily exercise, he never seems to shed any pounds. Spotty was halter bred. His head was a little small, and he was definitely post legged. Maybe his roundness was partially due to being a slight 'potato' horse, something the local ranchers nicknamed halter horses for their borderline HYPP muscling. Despite his awkward halter looks, He was a really level headed horse. He had a nice short back and good depth to his chest. His head is slightly small for his large frame, but he is well loved so the flaws are definitely able to be looked past.

Status; Owned by the ranch hand Jake
