Fine Again?

Papa just smiles and kisses my hand. "Anything you want my love as I am sure we have many thing to discuss." I laugh softly as I sit up. "You already know this my dear." "I know you well." He whispers then leans in and kisses me. I place my hand on his cheek and smile. "Lets not forget that walk my love." I say as I stand up and walk through the corridor with him. "I can always assign your duties to others, I'm sure they won't care to double up for you." I shake my head. "Emeritus no, no way will I allow you to give me special treatment. Your heart is in the right place but my love I assure you I can carry on business as usual." He sighs as his head lowers. "Why do you insist on testing me woman." I laugh softly then give him a quick kiss. "Oh come Emeritus, you know I keep you on your toes." He nods. "That you do my dear, believe me on that one." He chuckles. "Okay my dear, fair enough but considering the little incident in hall would you mind to try to take it easy? I feel like that isn't asking for too much and please do not stress so much. I hope that this silly worry of a war has been put aside. Correct?" I sigh. "Emeritus I swear..but yes today I will take things easy but do not forgot we have to prep for the festival." He nods as a smile curls to his lips. "Believe me I have not forgot such a wonderful time as that. We have a few months but I know it will be nice for you to have an exciting thing to focus on." He says as we walk out to the roses and sit on the little bench. I sit next to him as I sigh softly. "That is true, we also have our baby. Be truthful Emeritus what are your thoughts on this." He takes my hand and presses his lips against it. ''Believe me I am very excited for what the future will hold. The dark lord has been very good to us. But at the same time I am nervous as to whether or not my guidance will be enough for him..or her even. I have a lot going to mentally but I know with enough wisdom I have gathered through out the years I can do this." I smile. "Exactly, I never doubted you for a second." He nods as he wraps his arm around me. "Your confidence is much appreciated darling." He sighs. "Unfortunately we must part, but I will see you tonight at dinner." I give him a nod. "Of course Emeritus. I will do a few things in the chapel then go to the library. Just some light work for today." He stands up and nods. "Thank you for understanding my positioning on that, now my sweet Pandora I must be on my way." He places his gloved hand underneath my chin and lightly kisses my forehead. "Until then my darling." I smile as I close my eyes for a few minutes. I open my eyes and sigh softly as I watch him walk off. For once I felt a calmness, this strange sense of happiness. There was this warmth that I had so dearly missed. Was it all in my head? It had to be, I no longer felt the nagging of the doom that was supposedly to come.  I could actually breathe easy for now, I could only hope this serenity would be here to stay. Not only for myself or even Emeritus but for this congregation and now for our unborn child. I just take a deep breath as I stand up. One my way back into the monastery I spotted on of the Ghouls out in the corridor. As I approached him I quickly recognized him. It was no other than Alpha. "Ah brother Alpha, how nice to see you." He bows slightly then looks at me. "Good afternoon Mama, is there anything I can do for you?" I shake my head. "No thanks brother, I was just curious as to what you are doing wondering the corridor? I believe you should be prepping the holding area for the hounds with the others." There was a bit of hesitation as he broke eye contact. "My sincerest apologies Mama. It will not happen again, I just needed to excuse myself, I had a bit of an accident. Luckily no stitches were needed." I nod. "You are lucky then, just be careful then." I give him a nod then part ways. I still had the same feeling of warmth. It was nice to be able to have that happiness back. With a clear head I walk into the chapel. I held my breath as I walk through through the large door, but I quickly become relieved when I seen I was alone.  The last time I was in here I had the horrible vision, dream whatever you wanna call it. But this time I had a great calmness just wash over me. Until suddenly I hear the door being opened. I turned my said to see Alpha, once again with was strange. "Hello brother Alpha." I say in a neutral tone. "Hello Mama Emeritus.'' He say with a bow. "I seek your advice." He says in a soft. I pause for a few minutes then take a deep breath. "No, I do not seek his advice. I request yours. Please, I am but a humble brother, searching your wisdom. Do you deny me of this request?" He says as he kneels. I shake my head. "Of course not, you ask and you shall receive. Please be seated Brother Alpha and I shall do what I can. Now please rise brother." At least by doing this I could show Emeritus I'm still more than capable of doing this. "Be seated." I say as I point to the pews. I watch as he walks over. I smile as I sit next to him. "Now Alpha please tells me what troubles you?" He sighs as he looks down. "I feel like I have no purpose..I feel so torn with the direction I want to go." I look at him. "Alpha you must set aside from time for you, this is only an answer you cam find for yourself. Meditate and find the inner path you are suppose to follow. Does that seem to make sense." He nods. "Yes." He smiles as he reaches out his hand to me. "Thank you Mama, I mean this thank you." I smile as I take his hand. "You are welcome brother Alpha. I hope you can find comfort." He smiles. "Of course thanks to you." I give him a nod. "Then you are dismissed and I hope you put your knowledge to use." He nods as he stands up. "Of course."
