Percy Jackson: Guardian of the Hunt

Chapter 9

I looked around Tartarus and it looked just as I imagined, with monsters flying high in the sky and I could almost feel everything here, but then I felt something that shouldn't be here. And it was behind me, so slowly I turned around and I saw that there was a black portal right in-front of me. I looked around it to see Chaos the god of life and creation scratching his head looking around in confusion. Then he saw me and I looked for somewhere to hide, and seeing nothing I decided that it would be better if I ran. I turned and ran just as he noticed me.

"Percy Jackson" he yelled "I demand that you come over here this instant" I froze for a second fighting my body against the orders of the Primordial god, and eventually I gained control of my body again. and started to run again. I heard a sigh behind me and Chaos stepped back into the portal making it close behind him, and I was relived. Then I couldn't feel the ground beneath my feet, and the next thing I knew was the feeling of falling in empty space. I let out a yelp of shock as my feet went following the rest of my body, but I tried to latch on to the side of the ground. The portal widened making me unable to grab the surface of Tartarus, even if I didn't want to be in him again.

"Oh come on how is that fair" I exclaimed as the portal widened and I only found empty air where the ground just was "what do you want with me" but I found no answer. Instead I was falling and already ten feet from the portal when the portal closed leaving me falling in endless darkness. Then I felt my back go through something met with open air, and I hit the ground with a thump. I rolled over groaning in pain and slowly getting up, but I saw a pair of black shoes and stopped my decision to stand.

"Now why did you run from me Percy Jackson" a voice that I could only recognize as Chaos said and the shoe tapped "stand Percy" so I did and I saw that Chaos, and three other people were behind him, one of them was Gaea. I got angered and my palms flared up into blue fire as I looked at her in anger, but Chaos and the others were in my way blocking her.

"I know that she almost killed you and your friends, but listen to her" the one with the dark blue eyes said and I extinguished my fire, and listened to what she had to say.

"I was tricked by my daughter Phusis and she made me believe that the humans were destroying the earth, but when I was cast back here I realized that you guys were really saving me from everything else the could've polluted and corrupted me like my daughter did" she took a breath "will you forgive me" I thought about it for a second, and I realized that she was telling the truth and this caused my temper to cool and return to normal.

"Yes I forgive you, but never listen to a suggestion given to you by your children before actually discovering it to be true for yourself" I said and this for some reason got her and Chaos to chuckle a little "what" I looked at them confused.

"You are wise beyond your years, and that is why you are the most interesting of the others" Chaos said and the others nodded "and your life is interesting and entertaining to watch"

"What does that have to do with me being here" I asked

"I brought you here because one you are going back to the hunt like you want to, and two because we all want to train you for the battle to come" he said and then motioned to the others starting at the left side with the one with the dark blue eyes.

"This is Hydros, Chronos not to be confused with the great titan that you fought and killed, and this as you know is Gaea" Chaos said

"Do you accept what you are about to be given" Gaea said

"Yes I do" I replied, and then I was surrounded in a glow of light blue, dark blue, all of the greens and browns, and black light. I looked at them and every one of them except for Chaos had their eyes closed in concentration. I was confused that Chaos wasn't doing the same thing as them, but it must've been because he wasn't trying as hard as the others because he already knew how to do everything already. Then he looked at me and I jumped in shock with the tunnel of light following me as I jumped away from him in shock.
