It’s been already two months since Joseph and Ashley haven’t talk. It seems like they don’t know each other every time they cross the same way. Ashley decided to lower her pride and tried to talk to him. She saw Joseph at the gymnasium and drags him outside.
Joseph shouted, “What?!” he slap Ashley’s hand.
“Joseph, I can’t help it! Please let’s be friends again, I won’t do reckless things again I promise.”
“You have a lot of friends out there, you don’t need me.”
“Jose-Josephine…”
“I can’t give my trust to you again. You have ruined it already and even our friendship with your own hands.”
Ashley starts to cry. “I only had courage to do that because I love you…”
“You bring your self too much because of that stupid feelings!”
“You call these feelings stupid? I’m hoping that someday, you’ll feel what I feel!”, she left
“I’m already a gay and I still make a girl cry?”, he moved his head from left to right and then sighed.
The heavy rain started to fall and Ashley didn’t mind it, she just keeps on walking her way home. Her friends recognized her despite her hair covering her face.
“Why Ashley would walk without any umbrella?” Lei says
“Maybe it’s not Ashley, Let’s go.” Sheila grabbed Lei
“It seems like that girl is not feeling well. Let’s help her.” Faith said
Sheila five steps away form her, shouted, “Faith?!”
Ashley’s sight was all blur because of tears. Suddenly, she fainted and Faith quickly runs towards her. Sheila rolled her eyes.
“It’s our Ash!” Faith shouted and her friends run to them and tried to carry Ashley.
They brought Ashley to the hospital and Lei tried to inform Joseph about it on the phone. He refused to go for thinking that it’s also part of Ashley’s plan. Ashley heard everything.
“I really broke his trust.”
“She’s awake!” Lei ran towards Ashley and hold her hand.
“Do you feel better now?” Sheila asked
Ashley’s tears fall again.
“Ash? Why?” Faith asked
The Doctor knocked and Sheila opened the door.
Lei asked the doctor “What’s her condition?”
Joseph keeps on thinking about Ashley while watching a basketball game with his dad Mike. His dad is eating a bowl of popcorn silently while observing Joseph.
Mike shouted, “Oh! A three-point shoot!”
Mike means to drop some popcorn on the floor to test if Joseph is okay. It’s the way they enjoy watching, they will drop some popcorn on the floor and whoever eats it first, will have an authority to manage the remote control.
Joseph didn’t mind his father.
“Joseph, son…”
Joseph was all dazed and keeps on tapping his phone to his left hand.
“Is there something wrong?” Mike touched Joseph’s phone to make it stop.
“D-Dad… What is it again?”
