Circulate glittered into sight and I rang the doorbell. My mom opened the door and pulled both of use in with lightning speed (I think she was actually channeling?!?!). She slammed the door.

"What happened?" Zee demanded. "And no excuses, I know something is happening."

"I... Uh... Silveny, she's in danger." Mom whispered so softly it was barely audible.

What? Why? Silveny was the first female alicorn to be found.

Dad walked over and patted my mom on the shoulder. "We are not entirely sure, but I think somebody is trying to kidnap the alicorns to..." His voice cracked and he bit his lip, "to have power over the Council."

The council was the royalty who kept the law and order in the Lost Cities. They should be able to handle this.

"I'm not sure that they can." Mom sighed.

I looked over to Zee. They are so hiding something but we'll pretend that nothing happened so they'll calm down. Ok?

Zee gave the tiniest nod before adding a tummy rub and saying, "I'm famished, is there anything to eat?"

Dad nodded. "Mom prepared some food already, it is in the kitchen."

Grandma was here too? Now then had to be really important, but we couldn't pry yet. My brain was yelling at me to get the answer out. Instead, I simply forced a smile and thanked them and then pulled Zee to the kitchen, the false smile still plastered on my face.

I poked at my food. My stomach was churning like crazy, only when Zee told me that my parents could handle it, I finally managed to choke it down.

"Calm down." Zee's face suddenly lit up. "Wait, if Grandaunt Edaline was here, doesn't that mean that she stocked up the snacks in your home?"

Oh right! I hope there's mallowmelt, or custard bursts. I finally smiled a real smile. Let's go ask my parents whether they want some.

"Okay, but first we need to check whether there actually are some snacks." Zee opened a cupboard and smiled at the stack of mallowmelt. "Let's go upstairs then, do you think they are in the office?"

I nodded, let us go up.

I burst into the room, forgetting to knock. Hi mom and dad, you want some mallowm...

"...verseen..." Mom was saying as she stared at me as I barged in.

"Thank you, son, we would like some mallowmelt, but please knock before entering." My dad ran his hand through his hair, what he always did when he was frustrated.

"Yes, sir," Zee answered for me and pulled me out of the room.

Did you hear that? There was something going on, look at their faces!

"Yes I know, but let's get some mallowmelt first."

Aw man, know we need to go down again and up again.

"I know right? Sometimes I wish I would manifest as a Conjurer like Grandaunt Edaline, I could just make the food appear with just one snap of a finger." He snapped his hands for added effect. Suddenly, a crash was heard behind us.
