"Kepler William Vacker! You are going to be late!" My mom flung off my covers and shoved me a Babana smoothie.
Shoot, school's today! I leaped out of bed and glanced at the time. Only 20 minutes to get ready! I gulped down the smoothie and washed up real quick and then dashed to the leapmaster. Foxfire! I transmitted and stepped into the light. I arrived just in time as Magnate Leto's face flickered onto the screen.
"Greetings Prodigies, you kids better have had a good 2 week rest as we are going full force back into studies."
Pretty much everyone groaned.
"We would like congratulate a few prodigies for manifesting: Zee Dizznee manifested as a Conjurer and a Flasher, and Cyla Heks as a Shade. That's all for today, you kids better try harder in ability detecting."
All eyes swiveled towards Zee and began murmuring someone that sounded like Freak. Zee gave me a look and tried to hide in the shadows. Cyla didn't give him a chance to as she shifted the shadows away. Zee groaned and just gave up.
After the announcements, we swarmed out and headed to our classes. It started off terrible with History with Lady Belva droning on and on about boring stuff, continuing on to Elementism where I burned myself 3 times trying to bottle a flame. Lunch even ran out of lushberry juice! I plopped down next to Zee who was drinking Sour Rozzberry.
How do you even drink that? It's terrible!
"You wouldn't really care if you know how I feel... do you even know how many people called me stink Freak today?"
Awww, why?
"Someone named Cyla placed a muskog in my locker. Do you even know how terrible it smelled? I was called Stink Freak by pretty much everybody."
No wonder Zee was smelling slightly odd today.
What subject was replaced by your ability training? I asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"History and the Universe." Zee finally cracked a smile.
Finally lightened his spirits. I let out a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, Cyla wrecked the mood by sauntering toward us and holding her nose. "Ew! This table stinks! Dizznee, did you also manifest as Stinker?"
"No, but I did manage to learn how to do this!" Zee held out his hand and a bright green light flashed in Cyla's eyes
STOP! I blasted into their heads as Cyla raised her fist and so did Zee. You guys might get expelled!
Cyla stalked off and Zee turned to me in frustration. "Do you see what I mean now?"
I do. But it does not mean you can hurt people! I pleaded
"Ugh. Just stop it! I had enough with you lecturing me!" His eyes narrowed.
I clutched my chest as I dropped to my knees and gasped for air. What was this?
He shoved me away with a crazy powerful hit and I was sent flying across the room. I slammed against the wall and pained surged through my body. The world began to darken and I barely saw Magnate Leto grab Zee by the arm before I blacked out.
