Sterling Academy

Chapter Three

Alice could not believe what she was seeing, the man she thought she had imagined was sat right in front of her. She was very confused and wasn’t too sure what was happening. Who was he and why was he sat in front of her smiling like a mad person. As If he notice Alice had no plan on saying anything soon, the green and yellow eyed man opened his mouth to speak.

“Hello there, it nice to finally meet you Alice, I’ve heard so much about you” he said smiling

Starting to feel slightly panicked that this strange man new her name, Alice stood quickly and was about turn and leave the shop when he called out to her.

“Please don’t leave, I mean you no harm, I just need to speak to you” he asked hastily

Seeing that Alice still had an uncertain look on her face he continued speak.

“I know this may seem strange to you, but I really need to speak to you “he said “My Name is Elijah Samson and I am a teacher from Sterling Academy”

Alice turned to look at Elijah, he had a kind smile on his face and now she got passed the shock he really didn’t look that frightening. For some reason unknown to herself Alice decided to sit back down and listen to what he had to say.

“What’s Sterling Academy, I’ve never heard of it” asked Alice

“It’s a school for very gifted students, for students who have special abilities such as yourself” replied Elijah “that’s why I’m here Alice, to offer you a place at this school”

“I think you have the wrong person, I don’t have any special abilities, and I’m just average and defiantly not special” she relied looking more confused than before.

“That’s where you are wrong Alice, you are special and much more than you could possibly imagine” he said “This school was built to teach people like you and I. it’s there to help you understand and control you powers, so that you know how to use them”

Alice sat back in her chair and thought to herself for a moment. After a few minuets she had come to the conclusion that this man was completely crazy, there was no other explanation. People didn’t have powers, it made no sense. How can there be school that teachers people with these so call special abilities, surely if people like this existed she would have heard of them and if they did wouldn’t she know if she was one of them. After a moments of silence between the two of them Elijah spoke again.

“I know this must seem crazy to you, so I’m going to leave you alone for a few days to let it sink in“ he said “I will call by you house in a few days’ time to explain it in more detail to you and your parents, call me if you need to ask me anything before meet again” he said handing her a card with his name and number written on it. He stood to leave and said goodbye one more time, Alice sat in shock and only got pulled out of it when she heard the door slam shut.

Later on that evening after her tea Alice was sat in her room on her laptop researching into Sterling Academy. But after a while it seem that it was a waste of time, as according to Google Sterling Academy did not exists. Although she was expecting this would be the answer, a secret school for people with special abilities would not be advertise on the internet. Sighing in irritation Alice turned her laptop off and got in to bed, deciding that she would go to sleep and forget all about the day she had.
