In a room where papers were everywhere and the tension was getting higher, the general, his wife, and their sons were discussing the battlefield plan with the other section captions. While the atmosphere was tense with seriousness Mela could be heard outside hurrying with huge steps. Everybody in the room tensed up more knowing what was going to happen, as this wasn't the first time it has happened. *Slam* "Mother! Father! I want to go into town and get new dresses and jewelries, a gem like me can't be seen wearing these ugly clothing." Everybody stared at the pink dress that she just recently bought. Internally, the brothers were fuming with rage towards their own little sister, they hated how she was a disgrace towards the general family ever since their mother and father brought her along 3 years ago she hasn't even left a finger to help around making the soldiers do everything and the sad thing was their parents never object to her desires they think they have to make up for never being in her life till now, just recently she started calling them mother and father when she found out that they had a lot of treasures and money given from the king.
Her parents sighed and gave her two hundred gold coins, "This isn't even enough for me to buy a whole outfit!" while saying that she still put the money in her fancy expensive unattractive pouch. Ashyer, the first oldest, got mad and yelled "GET OUT!" Mela cowered in fear tears already coming down "Nobody loves me here! I want to go back to uncle's!" she screamed while running away. The general and his wife looked at Ashyer with disappointment, but they knew how he felt so they didn't say anything and continued with the discussion. Everybody in the room looked at the family with sympathy.
Mela was holding her money pouch happily while running towards the guards who were guarding the entrance of the building they were currently residing in, when the guards saw her they looked at her with hostile and quietly move further away from her, but they didn't see the people hiding in the shadows, as Mela got closer she saw the guards collapse in front of her a pool of blood starting to form, instead of running back towards the room and reporting the attack to her parents she screamed and dropped her pouch running behind the weapon shed.
When the people in the room heard Mela scream they chose to ignore it thinking someone ruined her dress and was now getting threatened using her parents. While they continued discussing the plan a guard suddenly slammed the door open panting, "General we are being under attack" Everybody stood up and grabbed their weapons while trying to calm their themselves from the unexpected news, "Where is Mela?" Arvel, the second oldest, didn't forget to ask the panicking guard, "I have sent a couple guys to try and locate her" Arvel nodded and everybody exited the room getting ready for blood shed.
Mela was still hiding behind the weaponry shed cowering in a ball while trembling. She was too scared to look out, all those other years she's been here she'd never encountered a battle like this she was always in her room trying on all her jewelries and deciding which to give to her cousin and her friends, since she didn't have any friends her cousin, Jodi, introduced her to her friends.
When she heard shuffling in front of her she thought it was either her brothers or a group of guards coming to protect her, she got up shaky and without having the time to get a good look at the stranger in front of her an arrow was shot straight into her heart.
While the battle was still going on the general was commanding the battle while his wife and sons were focused on killing the enemy. Nobody knew where Mela went but he believed that she was somewhere safe with a guard.
It seemed like the there was no end to this fight, being caught unexpected a lot of the Black Eagle men were either dead or severely injured. The general was starting to lose fate in this battle he wished he was given just one day to be with his family and go places where there wasn't going to be any blood shed or planning for the next battle to come.
He was too busy commanding the leftover troops to take action and didn't notice an enemy coming towards him with a sword ready, if you were to see the sharpness shining you'd know there was no way to dodge.
When Slona, the general's wife, saw that her love of her life was going to be killed she sliced her enemy's head off and tried to close the distance between her and her husband, but she knew that it was a wishful thinking and she wouldn't be able to get to him on time.
Just when she though her heart was going to shatter to pieces a figure ran past her and passed the general heading towards the enemy who was holding the sword to kill the general.
The person held her sword tight and swung it slicing the enemy in half. By the time the general saw the person running pass him and turned around the body was already on the ground. When Slona reached his side they looked at the person wearing a familiar dress, they couldn't put a finger on where they've seen the dress before.
When the person turned around she dropped the weapon she was holding. And to prove that they weren't wrong about the identity of the person they looked towards her brow and saw that there was a birthmark proving otherwise. "Father, Mother, I wish to ask for forgiveness for being late" Mela kneel down on one leg towards her parents, they didn't know what to say still looking at her with disbelief and confusion.
Mela got up and bowed again before striking another enemy in the abdomen. When she finished killing all the enemies near her and her parents she moved towards her oblivious brothers. Her moves were gentle like the wind on a summer day, but her hold on her sword was like a strike of lightning. Ashyer and Arvel were confused why some of the opponents started falling but glad that they got through the fight without getting killed, they were about to rejoice when they turned around and faced a blood faced Mela who they though was an enemy, but when they saw the untouched pink spots left on her dress they were confused and looked her up and down trying to guess her identity, when they saw the mark near her brows they also dropped their sword not believing the person in front of them was their arrogant ungrateful younger sister.
"Sir, all the enemy located at the south side has already been dealt with by a mysterious person" the guard reported to their frozen general and madam. The general came out of his trance confused, "Great, gather all the men and clean up this mess. Are there any enemy who are not dead or injured that are able to be questioned?" "Yes sir, there were already a group of four tied together also in the south side" then he whispered "they also seemed to have urinated on themselves, cause unknown" the general was surprised but nodded "Put them in separate rooms to interrogate, make sure the rooms have guards in the inside and outside" the guard nodded and ran off to do his task.
The general and his wife walked towards their children, standing beside their two sons, also looking at Mela with doubt and confusion. "You impostor what did you do with ou....... to Mela?!" Ashyer pointed his sword at her. Ashyer was about to say 'our little sister' but he decided against it not liking her very much but considering their parent's love towards their only daughter he stopped himself. "Brother what are you saying? Don't you see I'm right in front of you" she said with a smile that caused chills to go down your back, "You take us for fools? Where's the proof?" Arvel said with narrowed eyes. Mela already knew this was going to happen so she didn't hesitate to move her hair away from her nape revealing a healed scab. She turned around and saw their face of shock. "While hiding I happen to see a pretty bottle with pink liquid and couldn't help but drink it, it smelt and tasted so good, after I drank it till there was no drop left my head felt like it was being cleared of a fog that I never knew was there. Please forgive me for all the trouble I've caused over the last few years" Mela said with one hand on her chest, one leg kneeling.
The people didn't know if they should believe her or not, all this seemed to good to be true, but the way she described the bottle sounds like something she would take without hesitation and the birthmark near her brow and the scab on her nape proved her identity, so the only thing they could do was to believe her.
