Slona was looking around for Mela, but when she didn't find her she thought she had gone to the ladies room. Not a moment later Mela was at the side of her mother. On the battlefield, her mother was a tigress, but when not dressed for a battle she was a clueless lady.
Erlanie was looking everywhere for that fool, but she didn't see any hideous colorful dress or a shining walking statue. When she felt her mother's pull on her she turned to where she was pointing. "That is the fool," Rowena said to her daughter. Erlanie was confused for a bit just like how her mother was earlier. It was as if the fool heard them because she glanced at them and scoffed then went back to looking elsewhere. That got Erlanie angry. Nobody, especially her, was too look down on her! I'll make her regret pretending to act all mighty.
There were a lot of blushing ladies waiting for the Prince's hand in dance but no matter who he passed he didn't ask anybody and went straight to talking with the other young masters, so they could only dance with the other young masters who asked.
After a while of dancing, another major announcement was made. "The Prince and Princess of Aslan kingdom have arrived," the announcement shocked everyone.
Aslan kingdom was known for their forceful tactics and powerful connections to other parts of the world. There were rumors that when interrogating someone they were not so gentle. Just thinking about all the rumors that were said to have been done to those who were in their hand brought shivers. But why were they here? Although the two Kingdoms weren't on bad terms they still didn't acknowledge each other. Aslan Kingdom was said to be one of the first Kingdom that was built at the beginning of time, so they held a lot of power against a medium size kingdom like them. King Alfred even had to subject to them, whether it was just a Prince or someone related to the royal family.
Before anybody in the room could fully comprehend the situation there could be heard a sweet laugh. Entered was a beautiful young lady with a head full of golden hair and a face as gentle as a sheep, but everybody knew the truth behind that gentle-looking face. Next to her was a cold but handsome young man who walked as if he already had the whole world in his hand. Everybody knew who they were. He was a ruthless killer. No matter who it was, if they annoyed him then he would instantly kill them or if he didn't like the look of the person he would have them killed. He was the only Prince of Aslan, Prince Ivan. While the smiling girl beside him was his twin, Princess Ina. Twins were rare in this world, but it is said that if a pair were to be born then they were like twin dragons, twice as strong. "Greetings Prince Ivan and Princess Ina. What might be the honor to receive your presence today?" King Alfred said to the siblings. "Is today not the Prince's birthday?" Prince Ivan said in an uncaring tone. King Alfred could only bite his tongue from scolding the boy for talking to him as if he was stupid. Instead, he smiled. "It is. But you didn't need to travel such a long distance to congratulate this lowly one." Prince Ivan just looked at the old man as if he was dumber than a fish. "Don't mind us. Father wanted us to congratulate him on his behalf," Princess Ina said in a sweet voice, unlike her brother, she gave the King a smile. "Thank you for the being so generous as to traveling all this way. Well, let this be a night to bring us closer together," King Alfred said raising his cup as a servant gave the two siblings their own drink. With that, the music resumed as the two siblings were given front row seats. But nobody continued to dance. Princess Ina yawned at the boringness of the party. She and her brother didn't even want to be here, to begin with, but they had to do what father said. This little kingdom was nothing in her eyes. "Brother, how long do we have to stay here," she said to her brother who had his face leaning on his knuckle and twirling his drink. "Just a bit longer," he muttered.
Mela was looking from afar. Since she had arrived in this world she had no knowledge of the two kingdoms so she didn't pay the tension any attention.
Prince Trystan knew it was one of his many duties to bring the people together, so he had to get the party moving again, though, even he didn't want to be here.
Just as the two siblings from the Aslan Kingdom were about to declare their departure a loud bang and shout disrupted the tense atmosphere. "General, bandits are coming down the mountain." A guard said loud enough to wherever the General was. Mela glanced at Slona and saw a cold face. "Protect the King and Queen. Ashyer and Arvel, go protect Prince Trystan and Princess Renee. Mela, go protect Prince Ivan and Princess Ina." The General was yelling out orders while everybody was panicking. Prince Ivan and Princess Ina wanted to laugh. Who needed protecting? They killed with their bare hands. But they wanted to see how "brave" this kingdom was so they stayed silent. Mela knew a strong person when she saw them, and those from Aslan Kingdom didn't need her protection, but for the sake of not doing anything else she headed their way.
The Prince and Princess of Aslan Kingdom wondered who was in charge of protecting them. If something were to happen to them they can put it on the person. But while those important were already guarded they were the only exposed one. Princess Ina was getting mad thinking that they took them as fools and was going to command their guards to kill everybody here. But just when a bandit was about to strike them Ina thought she saw a dark shadow engulf her. Mela was already beside them and giving the bandit a kick to his side making him skid across the floor. "Boss!" The other bandits yelled and stopped what they were doing and had their attention on the person who dared to go against their boss. Prince Ivan and Princess Ina only saw the back of the woman who kicked the man. When she faced them they were taken away. Unlike all the other ladies here she had a different aura. One that made both of their hearts beat, but in different ways.
"Commander!" Renee had been trying to spot her Commander through all the commotion but people were in her way trying to find places to hide, she admits she didn't bother to slaughter the bandits to get to her commander. She was just glad the people prevented the Commander's brothers from catching her. She arrived just as the Commander kicked the bandit aside. She ignored the pair of siblings and stood beside her commander. All the bandits stopped what they were doing and focused their attention on them. Renee wasn't scared she was excited, so excited that she trembled with a wicked smile. Coming back to the palace felt foreign to her. "Command what do you want me to do?" Renee said with a wicked smile. Mela glanced at her and Renee knew what to do. Renee put two fingers to her mouth and let out a whistle, nobody knew what it meant but they were sweating too much to pay more attention to it. Renee had already taken out her hidden dagger and held it in front of her. Mela lifted up her dress and also took out the hidden dagger. "I'll wait for your command," Renee said. The bandits were starting to close up on them thinking they were just little girls and when they captured them they will have their fill of them. "Attack!" One of the bandits said making all of them charge toward the two girls. Mela only gave her second in command a look and they both separated fully on attacking the bandits.
The audience watching couldn't hold in their food but at the same time, they didn't want to bend over in case they missed a beautiful scene. Though there was blood being splayed and bones being cracked the scene was too beautiful. One after another the bandits fell to the ground. The face of the Princess had a smile while the face of the other woman was expressionless. The expressionless woman sliced and moved on then she cracked some necks as if the sound didn't bother her. The Princess was no different. Prince Ivan and Princess Ina watched with dazzled eyes. They have never seen those movements before. Just as everyone was concentrated on the two ladies they didn't see a palace servant sneaking up behind the Prince and Princess of the Aslan Kingdom with a dagger. But then a scream was heard moving the attention of the people to the pair of siblings. Prince Ivan didn't even blink and slashed the servant in half making his guts spill. Now people were beginning to throw up their food.
