The teeth of the creature were razor-sharp. All this reminded me of the incident when I was young. The difference was that I was no longer a helpless child. I banged and struck the creature, but his teeth only stuck further in my skin. In the dark, another goblin was slowly sneaking up to me. I had to figure out a way to get out of the situation quickly, if I did not want to become goblin food.

"My mistress will be pleased. We caught a delicious and juicy man. " The creature coming to me rasped. His fiery-red eyes were fixed on me. It was grotesque and ugly. His hands came to his knees, his face was like a splashed with acid, his features distorted and frightening.

I had to figure out what to do next. And then I remembered the children's tales of goblins. These creatures liked glamorous objects and gold, and were afraid of ... What were they afraid of ... I could not think - the pain in my leg and the loss of blood made me feel dizzy. Then i thought of it,  the goblins were afraid of light. I released one of my hands from the goblin's grip, and I reached into my pocket with lightning speed. Thankfully I had not lost my lighter. I clicked into the eyes of a goblin biting my heel. With the advent of the flame, the goblin flys 3 meters away from me. The other goblin had already leaned against my hand with the lighter, but I was quicker. I struck it just inches from it. Hissing blasted from his lips. Absurd, to be saved from a lighter. I was free, it was time to run. If these creatures were so cruel, then I did not want to imagine what their mistress was like. Limping and stumbling, I started running through the woods. Turning back to check how far behind were my pursuers . The creatures were furious, their black shadows glancing through the trees behind me. I hit something and I fell down on the ground with a bang, beside me was Peter. Panic overwhelmed me, and soon I could not take in air. The feeling that you are suffocating and your lungs refuse to take up any more oxygen, at this moment scared me more than the two goblins that were probably just a few meters away from us. I had to toughen up.

"Are you okay?" - I managed to squeeze between gritted teeth.

"Yes, I thought i lost you in the woods and started looking for you. I'm sorry for the medallion bro, I just wanted to joke around some."

"Very funny."  I pulled the chain from his hands trying hard not to think about passing out. "Is that a lantern in your hand?"

" Yep, this forest is so dark that you can't see anything, I went back to the villa to take it. Peter leaned back at me and started walking. A groan came from my mouth, he leaned right on the leg,  the goblin had used as a chew toy five minutes ago. "What's this wet thing on your leg?" He raised his hand to the lantern. "Oh, God, is this blood,it is blood right?"

"Calm down, it's not as bad as it looks, and now give me the lantern. " I said with panic in my face i could see the two goblins ready to pounce and attack us, moving like a cat stalking it pray.

"I'll carry it, now let me help you get out." He did not understand the goblin's red eyes came up behind one of the nearby trees.

"Peter, give me the lantern at once," panic rose in my voice. " I'll explain later." With effort, I got up as quickly as possible, pulling out the light from his hands and pointing it to a goblin, then to the other.

"Peter, where is the villa?" Peter snap out of it the villa, where is it?"

"The villa is at left. What has happened?" He was perplexed in his voice.

"I have no time to explain to you at the moment." - the forest was loud, and countless branches twisted around. The red eyes of the goblins grew rapidly, we had to find light, otherwise it would be our last night on Earth. I grasped the hand of my best friend and began to run with all my strength, tears running down my face. The pain in my leg was striking. "Run with all your strength and do not let me go."I did not illuminate the way ahead of us but behind us, where I heard the steps of a herd of goblins.

How were mythical creatures categorized maybe in flocks or swarms, lord, what kind of crap I was thinking. I already thought  how my parents would put my picture on the boxes of milk when light began to shine before us. Just a few more meters ... The goblin was up in front of us in on big jump. I thought Am-Gul from the Lord of the rings was nasty, but this creature beat every record. His ugly red eyes were slightly hidden from layers of unbroken greenish-black skin. His tongue, long and split, was squeezed out of his mouth. His gaze was fixed on me. I expected the creature to attack, I had stuck my legs tightly in the ground and refused to move. I was going to fight for my life. Peter stood in front of me, pulling my hand to go on, but the next step would cost us our lives. From the mouth of the creature came hissing and words:

"My mistress will be pleased, I have found the Chosen one. Yes, you would be pleased, yes mistress. She will shower us with jewels. All the tribe will be glorified. The smell of blood, tasty. In our realm you will not live even a minute. Poor human being. My mouth is filling up with drew.

"Who is your mistress?" I cried out to the goblin.

"Derek, are you mad, why are you talking to yourself or did you drink from Sammy's punch, get moving and go to the cottage. We need to look at your leg." Peter started to pull my arm again.

"The food questions us how interesting - a dinner with a program. "- the goblin laugh echoed in my ears. "My mistress will be very pleased.

I didn't have time. Every moment I would be face to face with the thing I had to think of something quickly. What did i have  in me. A lantern which, if I moved, the nice goblins would attack us in the back. The lighter. Let the lighter still be in me. I put my hand in my pocket and began to increase the gas output. I had to go on talking to the goblin. I needed to gain a little bit of time but the problem was another Peter was still sitting next to me and talking some nonsense. What would he think? I could justify that I was in shock from the blood loss.  First we had to get out of this situation than i could worry about other shit. The light of the lantern began to flash and soon would be extinguished. Maybe the batteries were down. When you think there is nothing worse that could possible happen, it turns out that there is always a nasty turn of events to fuck you up even more. It's as if you're in a cheap novel where the author just wonders how to make things worse, but it's only true to your sorry ass of an situation.

"Who is your mistress?" "I repeated. Just another second.

"You shouldn't care, you won't  be alive when I take you to her. "- and at that moment the creature jumped to me. I took out my lighter and zipped it at the monster's eyes. The gas covered his face and lit. The screams of the creature were piercing and low. The fire spread across his hairy body. I did not intend to sit and watch. Again I grabbed Peter by the hand and fled before the ones behind us got to snack on us.

"What the hell..... the flames? Something was burning, what it was,it was not human." - the last was a fact, not a question. I would deal with Peter latter, now I just had to get out of this enchanted forest. Just another 5 meters.
