I wake up to the sound of snoring. I am about to nudge the person next to me who is snoring when I realize its Thor. Awe, its so cute when he snores. This side of me has never come out before. I am never lovey-dovey. Whoa, this is weird. I get up and tiptoe out of the castle and make my way back to our house. I pull out the key, (I finally have it) and unlock the front door. I go through the house to check for elves and make sure everything is okay. I checked every room- except Megan's. I would, but Megan's room is the only thing I am scared of. It is piled high with new clothes, old clothes, shopping bags, and dirty clothes. The walls are covered with posters and her bed has about a thousand blankets on it. I push the door open with my pointer finger cautiously, and step in slowly. Yep, its still a total mess. I check her closet and behind the piles of clothes and I start to walk out. I turn my back and start to leave when I hear rustling. I turn slowly. I know its coming from underneath the mile high pile of blankets on her bed. The only place I didn't check. I slowly push the pile to the side and there is one more blanket over the figure. I see the outline of the body and I lift up the last sheet. To my surprise, it was Megan. She is crazy! Elves raided our house a few days ago and she comes back here to sleep by herself?! I shake her awake and she is startled.
"Were you watching me sleep? What are you doing here?" Are the first things she asks.
"No, and this house is a dangerous place for you to be, especially because the dark elves are after the emerald and the ruby that we have," I lift up my hand to show Megan the two rings on my fingers.
"You mean the emerald, not the ruby," Megan squints. I look down at my hand to only see the emerald. I quickly check the other hand to see nothing there. Panic mode kicks in and I yank Megan out of bed. I lift up her right, and left hand to see no ring.
"Allie, you lost to ring," Megan said, all the color draining from her face.
