Damien

"Why can't I get those eyes out of my head." I mumbled to myself, breathing in deeply as I tried to calm my racing heart. Every breath I took hurt my ribs, and I know I must've broken a few. I pulled my hood down, leaning my head against the tree that I was under as I looked at the sky that was full of countless stars.

Touch him. You die. I grimaced, remembering how she literally grabbed onto that rogue, and threaten him only to be in pain. What I can't seem to understand is that it hurt me to watch. I literally wanted to save her from them, kill those filthy creatures, and heal her wounds.

"Shit." Taking a deep breath, I pushed myself off the tree before walking away. Looking at my surroundings, noticing how quiet, and peaceful it was. That didn't settle well in my gut before pulling out the stone from my pocket, quickly cutting my hand, then grasping the stone, and throwing it. The stone shimmered to dust as it turned into a portal to my world.

I paused though, my thoughts going back to her. The girl with white hair, and a mouth that needs to shut up with my-. I stopped, eyes wide as I thought I needed to shut her up with my mouth. On hers? I bit my lip, trying to chase away from the rabbit.

Shaking my thoughts away, well tried to, I jumped into the portal. Everything around me faded, and the smell of flesh, and smoke entered my nostrils. I landed in a crouch as I returned, only to pause from getting up as I felt a heavy presence in front of me.

Defiantly not my sisters presence, but fathers. I kept my eyes lowered, eyes on the black dirt as I felt him come closer.

"I see that you brought nothing back." I tensed, feeling my body lock up as his words send a shiver down my spine.

"There was a complication my king?" I kept my head low, only seeing a shadow pass by me.

"Complication?" Fathers words hung in the mix air. He was waiting. Waiting for me to speak.

"Yes, they were-!" I couldn't finish as I was flung away from my spot. My body colliding with something hard making me cry out in pain. Something is most defiantly broken.

"Silence child!" I bite my tongue as I got back up, getting back on one knee, not facing my furious father. "I gave you and your sister the abilities to destroy them. To over conquer them, and you can't get one little head. It's already a problem that we lost my asset to them, and now I can't even get a head of those demons!"

I tried to hold onto my words, but I can't keep them lock away. "Father, please-." With a wave of my fath-king hand, I was thrown back again. I cried out as something pierced through my leg.

"I am your king. A God that has the power to kill anything in it's path. Do not call me that word." I held my tongue, feeling blood as I got back up.

"Yes, my king." I said, trying to not make it worse as he strut over to me.

"Look at me Damien." I winced at how cold, heartless, and inhuman at the voice as I slowly glance up. I was met with soulless eyes, or eyes at all, and no skin to feel how cold the air felt in this world. "Why did you run off? Why did you let them walk away? Why did you walk away?"

I opened my mouth, but it earned me a slap causing me to fall over, and I coughed, spitting out blood.

"Is it because you found out that demon is your mate?" I tensed, not evening thinking as he laughed. "You really think that demon has feelings for you?! Didn't I raise you well, knowing the knowledge of their betrayal?" Even when he said that I couldn't stop as those words came back to my mind. Her oath of words.

"Listen closely, I would do anything to make sure you live, even if I die in the process. If I had to break another bone in my body to get you out of a situation, I would. You may not realize it, but I would give up my immortality to be by your side. I would give my life to you if you were in deaths hands. I would fight to earn your attention. Even if you reject me every time I'm by your side, it won't matter to me. You are my mate, and I don't care because honestly that runs in the family."

I closed my eyes, trying to get them out, but it was like a replay of those movies that everyone talks about in the lower world.

"That demon put mistaken words into your head my son. You must not let it get to you because they run on lies, and betrayals." I looked up again, and he held out his no-skinned hand, giving words that will take me away from those eyes that can't seem to disappear. "Damien, we, as a family stick together as a hole. I won't let them get near you, or your sister if you follow my beliefs, and trust in me."

I nodded, grasping his waiting hand, feeling those memories disappear, and those eyes I liked were gone.

My king is right, I cannot let this go on, and next time I face the demon, I will put an end to her trickery.
