Chapter-2:First Sense

"Virgil...WAKE UP!" I felt someone shove me hard, knocking me off the bed and completely knocked the air right out of me.

I groaned and looked up, seeing Faith looking down at me. "I hate you." She giggled as I got up. "Love you too bro."

I headed to my dresser, picking out some clothes and headed to the bathroom.

"Hey, don't forget to wash behind your ears!" I laughed and slammed the door which caused my headache to grow.

Tuning on the shower on full blast, I striped and got in. The hot water beated on my back making me lose the tense that I had. After my shower, I got out and wrap my towel around my waist.

With one of my gifts, I swayed my hand over the mirror watching the fog vanish. I stared at myself.

My white and black streaks of hair, and my browns eyes didn't go well with it, but this is me. Putting on a pair of jeans and a white-tee I headed out.

Looking around my empty room, I realized that Faith was gone. Grabbing my phone, I headed out. My sisters door opened, her white hair was in a high ponytail and wearing a black shirt and dark skinny jeans.

"You think mom and dad will let us go to the human world for a while?" Faith asked, looking at me. I shrugged, and said, "Let's go see then."

We both entered the throne room where mom and dad were sitting in their thrones. I can literally feel their power raiding off them.

"Good morning my lovely children. What do you need?" I took a step forward.

"Can Faith and I go to the human world and look around? Please." Moms face grew dark and looked at dad who didn't have the same face.

They both talk to each other before saying, "Alright, but be home around three and stay out of danger. You hear me." We nodded and watched mom as she waved her hand, a vortex appeared behind us.

Looking at Faith, she smiled nervously, remembering her fear, then we jumped.

"I hate this!" She shouted, covering her face as the roar of the wind echoed through our ears.

Finally the vortex stopped, and we jumped out, both of us shifting in mid air. Looking over, Faith was still in human form.

You okay sis? I asked.

Ya, I thought I felt something. Probably just my imagination. She said looking confused.

Okay, let's go then. I said as I trotted over to trees.

We've been running for a couple minutes before coming to a small town.

Faith and I shifted back, and stepped out of the woods. First thing we notice was a wooden sign that was perched near the road.

"Welcome To Riverwood." I said making myself laugh. "I wonder why this town is called Riverwood?"

Faith nodded, and we began to walk towards the town. The town almost looked deserted, but we were mistaken as a elderly women was walking down the street; carrying a heavy purse over her shoulder.

She walked passed us without a word which surprised us. Usually old folk always are nice, but this old lady didn't peek at us or said anything.

We continued walking down the street till we came to a café that was open. We entered, noticing a man behind the counter. I sat down on the stools with my sister following me.

Something's wrong. I can feel it. Faith said nervously.

Faith was constantly looking around, biting her lip rather roughly. I placed my hand over hers, squeezing it. She settled down before hearing the sound of bells.
