On the other side of the rock in the cave where Aubrey and Katherine were kept, they could hear faint voices, both female just outside.

The woman continued to talk before the rock began to move.

Aubrey quickly ran back to her room from her seat next to Katherine.

The door was now fully moved, showing a blonde woman, as well as a brunette, who shockingly enough was an exact replica of Katherine, except the replica, had straight hair.

"Hello, Elena," Katherine said as she slowly made her way to the barrier. "You come to watch me wither away? Goodbye, Caroline."

"As long as I stay on this side of the door, she can't hurt me." This replica said, though the blonde still seemed hesitant.

"Please." The blonde gave her a nod before leaving the tomb.

"Stefan know you're here?"

"I brought you some things," Elena said as she started pulling things out of her bag, ignoring Katherine.

"You came to bribe me. What is it that you want?" Katherine asked.

"I want you to tell me about Klaus," Elena said

"Hmm. You've been busy."

"I also brought you this. It's your family history. It says in here that the family line ended with you. Obviously, that's not true." Elena told her as she pulled a book from her bag. It was very old and the pages looked aged and crinkled.

"You think that if you brought me some family keepsake I'd open up?" Katherine scoffed.

"I also brought you this." As Elena said this Katherine was quick to sped towards the barrier, only to be stopped by the invisible wall distance her from the bottle of blood in Elena's hand. "You don't look so good. How long before your body shuts down? Ten, 20 years? Must be painful to desiccate and mummify. I can't even imagine."

"You have the Petrova fire." Katherine praised.

Throughout the time that Elena and Katherine were talking, Aubrey found herself drifting off to sleep, as Katherine retold her story of Klaus and Elijah.
