Sungjae POV :
My eyes widened as i felt tense in my chest. What did he do that makes him looks so guilty? Is it about work? Or what?
"What mistake hyung?" i asked carefully. Preparing my self for the worst. He got up on his feet and walk towards me to sit on the chair in front of my desk.
"But before that, i wanna know what happened last night?" he asked, making my heart become more intense in my chest. But i cover it up, trying to act as calm as i can.
"What did you hear?" i asked him after a big sigh.
"Well, they said that you took Sohyun with you and leave the hotel holding hands. Is there something between you both that i don't know?" he asked as he leaning ahead with his hand support on his head. I sighed again.
"Nothing happened except.... i was a little bit drunk last night. I can't think properly. She's.... she have wound in her arm and i just thinking that maybe she need a company to go home. So i provided her a company she needed, that's all." I answered, hiding my nervousness by opening the drawer and looking for something which.... i don't even know what.
"Really? just because she had a little wound?" ha asked narrowing his eyes. Not cute at all!
"Well, i said i can't think properly, so...."
"Aigoo... Yook Sungjae, you know what's going on outside that door, they all wondering if you both dating now." I'm thrilled by that one particular word. And flattered, obviously, judged by the fireworks spark in my stomach going up to my chest. Once again i'm trying to remain calm. I pulled one random file from the drawer. Pretending to check it out.
"Just let them. They may thinking that way if they like it!"
"Easy for you to say. Sohyun is the one have to deal with that!"
That caught me right away. Was somebody hurt her? My heart hurt instantly by that thought. I looks straight to Bogum's eyes and put down the paper.
"Was something bad happened to her?" i guess my voice show the tenseness i felt in my chest. Bogum, instead of answering my question, he chuckle and finally laughing to my face. I'm frowning.
"Well, i think that part 'Nothing happened....' didn't really fit with your reaction right now, don't you think?" he asked with that annoying smile. I snorted, some way irritated by the fact he made fun of me, but the other way, felt flattered.
"Yah... seriously Park Bogum, was something bad happened to her or was not?"
"Calm down Sungjae-ah, what i meant was, she will have to deal with the questions because people will not asking you. Nothing bad happened to her anyway."
I sighed in relief. That's all i need to know. The last thing i want to hear was someone messing up with Sohyun.
"I believe she will be fine, she is a strong woman. But if the thing gone out of control, i'll clean it up for her."
"Hmm... sounds like a confirmation to me," he said while caressing his own chin with his fingers and smirking stupidly. I just narrowed my eyes at him, and right at that time, i remember of something.
"Stop annoying me. Now tell me what kind of mistake you had done?" i said straightening my back, give him fully attention. I see his eyes widening as he adjusted his sit. Cleared his throat before speaking.
"Yeah... it's... it's because of that situation, many people curios including Kim Yoojung. She, of course, questioning Sohyun, but Sohyun won't tell her about that secret, because she said she already promised you to not to," Bogum stop for a while to take a long breath, while i'm smiling inside. "So, when Yoojung came to my office for my drinks, she told me how sad she was, not knowing anything about her best friend secret, so she can not help her with anything. And i... i don't know how, i don't know what i'm thinking, i blurted out to Yoojung. I told her the truth... I'm so sorry Sungjae-ah. I didn't mean it. I just... i don't know. I'm sorry!"
