Sungjae's POV :
Kim Sohyun is a constant distraction. I tried to keep my attention to the road while i'm driving, but i ended up glancing at my right side again and again. That's what happened when my dad decided to sit at the back seat with my mom and asked Sohyun to sit beside me in the front. Who then made me spun my head to her direction quite often, especially when she laugh. But, well... i didn't mind of those kind of distractions. Didn't mind at all.
People were gathered when we're arrived at the venue. Granny and grandpa arrived shortly behind us. As expected, i met many of my relatives, cousins and old friends that i haven't seen for a long time. It's really like a cross generation reunion if you ask me. Everybody can find their circle whatever their age. My parents immediately got involved with some of my uncles and aunties. So does my grandparents. They all slowly got separated from us as they kept stopping and talking to people they met.
I'm glancing at Sohyun over my shoulder when i realized she's not beside me. She is still following me about two steps behind. She looks confused and shy and i can tell that she felt uncomfortable with her surroundings. Clearly enough as she kept looking down nervously.
I stopped and turn back to her. I hesitated first before finally reaching out my hand and took her hand. She lift her head instantly and obviously looks surprised, but didn't take her hand back. I smiled at her and slightly squeezing her hand, hoping that it'll make her feel more comfortable and less nervous. I felt relief when she finally smiling and even squeez my hand back.
I led her all the way trough the ballroom tried to find the bride and groom. Not wanting to let her hand go. But before we find them, we got cut by my older cousin who live in Tongyeong. The last time i met him was more than 2 years ago before he went to military. But we still sometimes catch up on each other via text message.
"Sungjae.... there you are! Long time no see. How are you?" his voice stopped us and i instantly smile widely and brother hugged him.
"Seung gi hyung..... finally we met again! Woah.... out of military you looks more handsome!"
"I'm handsome from the beginning after all," he said and we laugh before he noticed Sohyun. He looked at her and looked back at me rising his eyebrows. I'm glancing at Sohyun and smiled as i introduced her to Lee Seunggi.
"Ah... hyung, this is Kim Sohyun, she is my... girlfriend." I said, invited all that butterflies into my stomach. Sohyun then stared at me, her eyes looks confused for a brief second before they finally sparkling the way i like so much.
"Hello..!" said Seunggi reaching out his hand to her. She smiled and muttered, "Hello!", as she was shaking hands with him. And i have to snapped my stupid brain mentally for thinking about that stupid little jealousy i felt when i saw them shaking hands. 'They're just shaking hands, you idiot!' my mind mocking me harshly. I know that stupid but i can't help feeling relief when Sohyun released her hand and pulled back to my side within second.
"Sohyun-ah, come here. I want to introduce you to my cousins." My granny suddenly appeared beside Sohyun. She greeted and hugged Lee Seunggi before took Sohyun away from me. I watched them walking to a group of elderly where my parents already joint.
"So... it's her...," Seunggi's voice distracted me from watching Sohyun being introduced to the Yook's and some of the Lee's elderly. I turned my head to him as he continued his words, "No wonder you declined my grandmother match proposal," he said smiling and then averting his eyes to his grandmother whose now surrounded by others whose talking to Sohyun and my parents. I frowned at Seunggi.
