I think my brother Blue enjoys parties too much. He's throwing a Christmas party in the Void with a bunch of other AUs and, being the older brother, I have to be there. I'd rather be at home, sleeping.

So I hung out in a corner, watching the other AU versions of me and my bro bandy about. I talked to Classic for a while, making stupid jokes with him as we watched the others together. I sort of went on guard when the Fell brothers arrived. Fell Papyrus is cranky as hell, and poor Red looked like something had gone amiss before their arrival. He seemed edgier than normal.

Making my exit from talking with Classic, I wound my way towards Red. He hung by the wall, downing eggnog like his life depended on it. I hid a smile at that. He had been to Blue's parties before, and Blue always had spiked drinks.

"Hey, Red," I said, sliding up next to him. He glanced at me, looking fidgety.

"'Sup, Stretch," he said tautly. I frowned a bit but nudged him.

"You having a good Christmas?"

His eyes flicked at me and I saw a silent plea while he answered, "Sorta."

"Well, if you've got any problems you can always crash at my place," I said, looking at Fell across the room, haughty as always. Red let out a terse chuckle, hugging his mug in his hands.

"Th-thanks," he chuckled, a light red dusting his cheeks. I looked at him oddly before chuckling softly to myself and walking away.

"Come find me if you wanna chat, Red," I called to him.

Godammit, why is everyone so fucking nice here? I wanted to glare at Stretch but I also wanted to hide behind him and never leave his side until Boss stopped being an asshole and became a brother again.

We'd had a fight before coming here, about coming here, and Boss promised to whip my sorry ass once we got home. Though not in those exact words, or tone, or meaning...yeah I'm afraid for my safety.

Downing my eggnog, which was pleasantly spiked with some of Blue's favorite whiskey, I went for another mug. Maybe I would take up Stretch's offer and hang with him for a bit. At least I could delay and maybe cool Boss's anger for a while...

I sighed heavily, knowing Boss wouldn't let me out of his sight until I was properly punished for my earlier 'insolence' and whatnot. I heard someone walk up behind me and turned jerkily, still on edge from earlier. I might've relaxed at seeing Classic but my nerves got the better of me.

"Hey Red you seem a little on edge," he said simply.

"Heh, really?" I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

"I mean more than normal, shithead," Classic said snarkily.

"Geez, calm down," I told him, backing off, "Yeah, I'm a bit off but what's it matter ta you?"

"Look, if it's your bro you can tell me-"

I rounded on him, eye flaring dangerously, "It's none of your goddam business!"

He looked a bit hurt but I didn't care. I was too angry at all of the damn 'nice-guys' at this stupid party. I pushed my way past him, heading for the exit. Ten feet from the door and a hand grabbed my collar. I gulped, turning around to face Boss.
