Yuri's P.O.V.
It's the first week of school and already I'm super stressed.
Just great!
It isn't the fact that I have to deal with keeping my grades up, that's easy enough for an honors student like me.
You see, I'm attending Ouran Academy on a Performing Arts and Academic scholarship.
Sounds difficult doesn't it?
In reality it's not that bad, I just have to participate in at least one club and keep my grades above a low B. The club part was the worst part at first, THERE WAS NOTHING INTERESTING!
Thankfully, I was able to work this out and create a club of my own... AN A CAPELLA GROUP! Well, at least figuring what type of club was easy. Finding actual members though? That's a whole other story.
~Flashback~
"Mr. Suoh, sir, I was wondering if I could create a club," I claim timidly, as I enter the Chairman's grand office.
"Hmm? Why is that? Have you looked at all of the options?" He bombards me with questions, as he looks up from his computer.
"Yes, sir, I've looked at them all. I'd like to get on a more... personal level and have the opportunity to use my talents... That's why I'd like to start an A Cappella club. It'd allow me to get closer with its members and allow me a more personalized approach to music," I claim, finishing my pitch.
"It sounds like a great idea, I'd love to have that type of club in our school. But there's one problem."
"What's that, sir?"
"You'd need to have a teacher for a sponsor, but that should be the easiest part, any teacher should be willing. But that's not the problem, the problem is that you need at least 5 members. I'm not exactly sure how'd you get those members, but as soon as you get these members, you're good to go."
"Wait, seriously?! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I cheer, making him chuckle, "I-uhh, thank you, Sir!" I say once more, before bowing and trying to exit.
"Miss Sasaki?" he says, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, sir?"
"Don't forget to report to me as soon as you gain all your members. You can use music room number 4 for auditions, for now, until you become an official club."
"Yes! Thank you, sir!" I say once more before bowing and exiting.
~Time Skip, Still in Flashback~
Okay, okay, so to gain members, what do I do? Be friendly? Hold auditions? Ask them?
Hold up, I'm getting ahead of myself. First, I need to know what I need, parts and etcetera. Second... whooo's gonna do those parts. Third, convince them to join???
Right, obviously, I need an alto, tenor, baritone, and bass. I've already have had someone who's offered to sing alto.
She must have overheard me when I was talking to myself. What's her name again? Hmm, OH YEAH! It's Megumi Minami. I don't know how qualified she is. But hey, practice makes perfect!
Maybe I'll meet up with her during lunch and we can talk this junk out.
~Another time skip, cuz im trash~
"Excuse me, Miss Minami, may I talk to you?" I ask, approaching the lone girl while she ate lunch in the classroom.
"Oh, hello Sasaki. What is it?" she asks me, setting down her meal.
"It's about the A Cappella group, I went and talked with the chairman yesterday before speaking to you. And now that I've had time to think it over, I'd like you to join." I say, trying to avoid her eyes.
"Oooooh! Really! I've never been in a club before. We were always encouraged to join one in junior high, but I was not social enough for that. Even now, it's hard to talk like this to you," She claims, kind of ranting a little bit.
"Saaaaaaame," I groan, making her laugh.
"You have a scholarship in the Performing Arts, don't you?"
"He, yeah, it's kind of strange. I always get anxious when meeting new people or talking to people I usually don't talk to. But when I perform, that basically all goes out the door!" I exclaim, throwing my arms out.
"Ptsh, that's stupid," she says, laughing her butt off.
"He-he, it kind of is," we laugh at my silliness for a little while more, before getting back to the topic at hand, "Anyways, it's going to be a lot of work. We still need to find all of the guys parts, three more people. Then after that, we need to set up a recording studio. I'm thinking that we should have at least 5 mics and separate soundproof rooms, but I have no idea how we would pay for that."
"You're really into this aren't you? But, I think you should slow your roll, for now. So far we only got 2 members, and we need 3 more to hit the total 5. But... I think I might know a guy to fit the baritone spot." she informs me.
"Really? Who?" I ask excitedly, while digging into my lunch. It seems like I'm gonna be here for a while anyways.
"His name is Takuya Nakano. He used to be in choir back in junior high, but quit because it didn't give him the 'connection' he was looking for," she informs me.
"Sounds like an emo to me," I joke, making her laugh.
"Yeah, but instead of him being depressed and dressed in black, it's more or less sarcastic comments."
"Sounds like my kind of guy, who doesn't love sarcastic comments?" I joke.
"He's actually not that bad, to be honest. Just got to get on his good side. He's in our class, just treat him with respect and make sure he understands the purpose of the group."
"I think what you mean, is that you are going to talk to him. Cause there's no way in hell I'm doing that."
"Oh, come on! You're the president of this club, you've got to take the lead." Minami teases me.
"Well, if I'm president, the you're vice-president!" I sass her back.
"Fine, but you're still taking the lead and doing most of the talking!"
"Fine, but you've got to call me Yuri then!"
"Right, you'll call me Megumi!"
"Dealio!"
~Present Time~
After almost a week of persuading, we finally got Nakano to agree. With him came our tenor, Ito, and our bass, Ishikawa.
Them being 3rd years made it kind of hard on us in the beginning months. We had to use just a generic camera and cheap mics, due to the fact that no one wanted to donate or sponsor our cause. But eventually we made enough money from our singles to make a proper recording studio in the end.
Hopefully we'll be able to get all of our members this year.
A/N: Hiiiiiii. It's nice to meet you? Thanks for reading this bullshit. I know this show is kinds dead, but I can't help myself. So, I hope you enjoyed this and yeah...
Peace out! ♡\(*~*)/♡
Alsooooo... before ya go, let me know how you want to get into me describing the characters. Like sdo you guys just want a chapter dedicated to identifying my original characters or do you want to me gradually describe them?
Anyways, like I said before, peace out!
