Takuya's P.O.V.~
It had to be over an hour ago that the girls actually started their auditions. Although I wouldn't know. Auditioning would have been so much funner, (I know that's not a word, but shush up for a moment, would you?-Takuya) than math homework.
Damn, it's been a long time since we just sat around and made music.
Yuri and her A Cappella group certainly have surprised me, last year when her and Megumi approached me, you could barely tell that she'd make a good leader.
~Flashback~
"E-excuse me," a timid voice calls from behind me.
"What?" I snap, not in the mood to deal with anybody's shit.
"You're Takuya Nakano, correct?" It was the new honors student, what's her face? and Minami behind her. I haven't talked to her since elementary school. Damn, still as quiet as back then.
"If I wasn't, maybe I wouldn't still be talking to you," I sass her.
"Oh, well, Nakano, we are in the process of making an A Cappella group."
"And I should care, why?"
"Because we'd like you to join, Nakano," Minami speaks to me, for what seems to be the first in a long time.
"Why should I?" I say, kind of getting defensive.
"Because, Nakano, this isn't going to be an ordinary a cappella group that has no emotion behind the lyrics. Wasn't that why you quit choir in the first place? Because you couldn't make a connection with the words you sung?" Manini, coming at me with all the hard points.
"So what if I did?"
"I don't want to be that kind of a cappella group. I'd like to be unique and have opportunities so that, if you wanted, you could show your talent in other ways," the honors student claims before the teacher walked in, "We'll talk tomorrow."
~Next day~
"What would you prefer?" the honors student- Sasaki- asks me as she approaches my desk.
"Pardon me?" I ask confused.
"What part would you like to sing? Tenor, baritone, or bass?"
"Who says I'm even joining?"
"That one," she states, pointing her thumb over her shoulder to Minami, who in turn gives a thumbs up, "She thinks you'll crack by Friday."
"What?"
"She thinks you'll give in and join by Friday."
"Yeah, I got that, but why?"
"Because if she remembers correctly, behind the hard rock shell, is a sweetheart."
"W-what!?" I stutter out, "MANIMI, WHAT THE HECK?" I freak, making her giggle.
"You are, so don't deny it. I've got to many examples to prove you wrong," she claims, still giggling.
"Like what?" I fume.
"Remember in junior high, when I tripped in the halls? You were the only one to help me up and yelled at everybody who laughed at me," she claims happily.
"I did not!"
"You did too," Kyoya debunks me.
"Not cool, man!" I say, turning around to face the dude.
"Just stating the facts," he says coolly, before going back to his book.
I groan before sitting down at my desk, "This isn't over yet, Nakano!" Minami called.
