We were walking down the street, and man was it pretty. The sidewalks were kept neatly, they hedges that lined people's yard were cut perfectly, and the trees were over hanging the sidewalk with the sun shining though them. We walked past a house with a guy mowing the lawn, and he was kind of cute. Bridget and I whistled at him and sprinted down the street. We stopped and laughed.
"Speaking of cute guys, what are you going to do about Cameron?" She said with a wink. I thought about for a second and to be honest I wasn't that sure.
"I'm really not that sure." I reply to her kicking a rock down the sidewalk.
"We should FaceTime him." She smiled.
"Well you only live once, so why not?" I say and picking up my dog while Bridget was jumping for joy.
"YAY YAY YAY!" She screeched.
"Okay Bridget, I get your excitement, but I think I just lost my hearing." I say and rub my ear. She laughed at and stuck out her tongue.
After a few more minutes of walking and talking about what we were going to do about the FaceTime, we came to the ice cream place. It was just overlooking the ocean and right near little shops. We walk in and wait in line for a little while.
"Hello, can I pet your doggie?" I hear someone say and I turn around to see a young child.
"Of course!" I say with a smile. The child bends down and pets Desiree.
"By the way my name is, Rose!" She says pausing and looking up at me.
"My name is Skylar!"
"That's a very pretty name!"
"Thank you Rose!" I say with a smile and then I realized that it was our turn in the line. I look at the menu bored and they had like millions of flavors! I settled for cookie dough since it's my favorite and order a medium in a cone. Don't judge me I love ice cream!
After we get our ice cream we go outside and sit at benches near the ocean.
"How do you feel about that guy, Sky?" Bridget said interrupting my thoughts.
"I don't know! I just met the fricken guy at Dunkin donuts!" I say a little annoyed.
"Well obviously he thought you were a cutie."
"Well he was cute, but he was so cute he is probably a player." I say my heart breaking a little. I look down at the table and eat me ice cream.
"Hey I didn't mean to upset you!" Bridget said looking at me.
"It's cool." But really, I did kind of like him.
