They were still a few kilometers away from Hogwarts. Amara and Camilla were the only ones in their compartment. The other two friends of their group must be sitting farther away. Madeline had joined her Slytherin friends in the compartments further away.
"I went on a holiday to Italy!" said Camilla, bouncing in her seat. "I saw the Trevi Fountain. Not to mention the countless museums with all the art. You would've loved it!" Her best friend's eyes shined, thinking of her past travels.
"Not to mention all the cute boys! I met one, Adrian. He asked me out but, I had to come back!" Camilla slumped in her seat, disappointed.
"You'll find another cute boy to date you," Amara promised. Camilla chuckled at the reassurance.
"So. What about you? Meet any cute boys here in London?" Camilla's grin slowly turning into a sly one.
"I did meet these two guys," Amara began to say. Camilla's mouth opened in shock, resembling a fish.
"No. Not in the way you presume!" Amara dismissed her friend's assumption. "They are these twins. You know the Weasleys?"
"The Weasley twins? Pranksters?" inquired Camilla, sitting upright, intrigued. "How did that happen?"
"Yes. Fred and George. When we went to Diagon Alley to buy books for this year, we had to buy those monstrous books we got assigned for Care of Magical Creatures?" Amara paused. "Madeline and I were at Flourish and Blotts to get them. The twins were there and offered to help get those books! One of them, George- I think- put his foot on the book. But, it moved and-"
"Oh dear! He fell on this ass, right?" Camilla interrupted.
"Yes. The situation was so funny. I couldn't hold in my laughter! A giggle slipped out and George Weasley glared at me!" Amara exclaimed, the memory of the twin's unrelenting stare, which seemed to burn into her back. Camilla laughed.
"You better watch out!" Camilla held her stomach, a wide grin on her features. Amara remembered Madeline had warned her to be cautious.
"Should I?" Amara thought out loud. "He is bound to forget it right?"
Unfortunately, George Weasley hadn't forgotten. At the exact moment, the Weasley twins passed by the compartment. Fred gave a cheeky wave. However, George glared with contempt. Amara gulped.
"I guess I was wrong," Amara rubbed her neck.
"Wrong? That's an understatement! He looked as he despised your entire existence!" Camilla observed. Amara shrugged, acting as she didn't give a damn. Nevertheless, her insides churned with the possibility that George Weasley could reduce her to humiliation.
---
The train stopped unexpectedly. "We can't be there already?" Camilla said, going to sit next to Amara.
Amara leaned over to the window.
Ice crept up the class, obscuring the countryside. It was certain that they hadn't reached yet. The temperature dropped drastically. A cold wave washed over Amara. Shivering, Camilla huddled close to Amara.
"What the hell!?" She whispered.
Amara remembered that her father told her to keep her wand out if something strange was happening. Wand out, she stepped out of her compartment. The train was dark. "Lumos!" Amara's wand tip lit up.
"Ow!" A tall person bumped into her, falling on top of her.
Holding up her wand, the tall person was no other than the Weasley twins. One of them was sprawled upon her legs. He grumbled and peered up at Amara. Their faces turned scarlet at the close proximity.
