Spring arrived quickly then they assumed. OWLs were sinking the fifth years into deep sand. They could not get a moment without being reminded of exams. Amara and her friends were scattered across the grass expanse outside. Stacked books surrounded them like forts.
Amara slammed her textbook against the ground. She grunted, putting her head in her hands. Since the scorpion incident a week ago, she had been trying to absorb as much as information. Her head now felt like a swollen ball which could explode any minute.
Camilla gave her friend a questioning look.
"You're done with Potions?" Camilla asked, inclining her head in curiosity.
"I have revised six bloody times! I am so sick of this," Amara grumbled, starting to jammed her books into her bag. Ink bottles clinked inside of it. She stood up hastily.
"I'm going to the library to pick something nice to read to get my mind of this...mess," Amara gave a wave before rushing into the castle.
Her friends watched her stamp into Hogwarts and out of their sight. She was turning mad from studying so much. Amara had pushed herself and stayed up nights trying to make up for the missed studying and classes. Being a perfectionist, Amara couldn't stop until she was sick of it.
"Finally," Rose remarked, making a motion of sweeping sweat of her forehead.
"I know. She needs to calm the hell down, to be honest," Gina licked her dry lips. "She has been different since she came in contact with scorpion blood? Haven't you noticed?"
Camilla drummed her fingers on her knee. Amara seemed unhinged, jumpy and restless. Also, she was tense. The day before, in the library, she had been frightened by someone dropping a heavy book. Even a knife scraping on a plate scared her out of her wits.
"Madam Pomfrey said she was fine. So, maybe she is just apprehensive after the Weasleys and Cass pranked her like that. Maybe, she is just watching her back," Camilla's eyes swept the room, observing students as they walked across the campus.
Her gaze landed on a pair of ginger heads. They caught her gaze, giving a wave. She gestured for them to come over. After exchanging a conversation, they made their way towards her. "What's up?"
"Did you tell her or what?" Camilla crossed her arms.
The twins gave identical sighs.
"We've tried," One of them said.
"But, we've been busy..." mumbled the other.
"With OWLs..."
"And your girl really hides out, doesn't she?" they said together, shrugging.
Camilla groaned. "Why couldn't you ask me? She is at the library now!" she exclaimed, pointing aggressively at the castle.
The twins followed where her finger pointed.
"What do say, Georgie?" One of them said to the other, nudging playfully.
George scrunched his nose. "She's a bit scary," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
"You owe her this," reminded Camilla in a firm manner.
Fred and George gulped, guilty. Without a word, they left.
'Hopefully to the library,' thought Camilla.

Amara coughed as the dust fell from the bookshelves. Apparently, the muggle section wasn't a favourite of the Hogwarts students. She covered her nose with her sleeve, whilst ducking from floating books which whooshed past her head.
