When I got to school the next day I avoided Helio again. I just needed a break from him because he can be so what of a desperate puppy that I needed to get away from. However, he offered me a ride again to school and I agreed.
As he was taking me to school, he told me he had a surprise for me.
"A surprise?"
"Yes, close your eyes"
"No, stop being stubborn and stick your hand out"
I rolled my eyes, then closed them and stuck my hand out. I heard a rustle in the back and then felt something cold, hard, and cylinder shape in my hand. It was a spray can.
"You got me a spray can?" I look down at my hand and see that it's the color blue that I ran out of, it was even the same brand that I use.
"Yep, do you like it?"
"Um, yeah, wow thank you. No one has ever done something like that for me before" I couldn't but smile.
"No problem, I'm glad you like it"
"Why do you care so much about me painting?" I bluntly ask him.
"I don't know, I just do." he doesn't look at me. I know he's lying and there's a real reason behind it. But I don't push it. He drops me off once again and I head home.
I go to my apartment and look at the junk mail that's been piling up. I take a deep breath and lay down on the floor and close my eyes. I was so exhausted that I didn't sleep last night, so I try to get my shut-eye.
