I was hanging out with Steven in the lunchroom before school started.
"So, my dad says that he might have a lead on the town's delinquent" Steven's dad was the head of the police department. The cops have been on this case since Selene started to vandalize the town. They weren't too happy with her causing chaos and getting negative attention from the media.
"Wait, are you serious?" I whiplash my neck to him.
"Yeah, he thinks that it's someone from the town next to us"
Thank god, they don't have anything. If Selene gets caught she's going to think that it was me who turned her in. I mean she doesn't like me very much already.
"Why does he think that?"
"Because all the painting have been targeting only certain locations, which can expose us."
I nod. I start thinking about how am I going to tell Selene.
The bell rings.
I head to class and see Selene in the distance, I walk up to her.
"Hey" I smile.
She rolls her eyes and keeps walking, trying to get away from me.
"Uh, is everything okay?" I catch up with her. Her little legs can really compete with mine.
Again, she ignores me.
I finally leave her alone and keep walking. What did I do?
