Alayah's POV
"Mommy?" Zoëy said grabbing my hand.
"Wassup baby?" I said looking at her in the rearview mirror.
"How long do we have left?"
"Not long sweetie" I said.
We were heading back to Michigan to stay with my mom a few weeks.
"I miss daddy" She said tearing up.
I sighed. "I know you do"
"Why couldnt he come with us?"
"He's getting ready to go on tour..he just has alot going on at the moment Z" I said focusing on the road.
We turned in the neighborhood my mom lived in. I pulled up on the side of the road in front of my mom's house and turned the car off.
"You ready to see grandma?" I said looking at Zoëy.
She nodded her head slowly.
I got out the car and unbuckeled her out of her carseat and grabbed our bags.
We walked to the door and I rung the doorbell.
My mom opened the door and her eyes widened.
"Alayah...Zoëy...My babies!" She said hugging me and picking up Zoëy.
"Hi Mama" I said.
"Hey love! What are yall doing here? Just to visit?" She said.
Zoëy looked at me and smiled a little.
"Yea..Kind of" I said.
My mom looked at Zoëy and kissed her cheeks. "My pretty angel! Its been forever since I saw you!"
"I missed you granny!" Zoëy said.
"I missed you more my baby"
She looked around. "Where's Algee?" She asked looking at me.
"He's umm..busy."
"Too busy to come see family?" She asked arching her eyebrows.
I bit my bottom lip.
She put Zoëy down. "You want to go play with your mommy's old toys?" She asked her.
"Yes!" Zoëy said grinning hard.
"They are in your mommy's old room in the purple and pink bin"
Zoëy ran upstairs and into my old room.
My mom looked me up and down. "You look stressed out Alayah" She said.
I sighed. "I just been working alot mama, thats all" I said.
"Thats not the reason you're stressed" She said.
