Ruby could be fickle and unfit, good as I would get at times

"We need a set list for tonorrow's show," Charlie proclaimed as we at the restaurant. "And it's Avril's decision this time considering she's left us high and dry with it every. Single. Concert."
She laughed before covering her face with her menu, clearly turning red. Charlie wasn't lying: she always left us to figure out the set list.
"Um, well uh ok. Start with Sk8ter Boi and end with Complicated. How about you guys figure out the rest?"
"Nice try, but this is all your decision."
"Well uh, second song will be Losing Grip, no Anything But Ordinary, wait what about Fuel?"
"Just. Pick. One." We all said in unison.
"Fine, I Don't Give. Okay next one! Things I'll Never Say, no, no, no. It really should be something more aggressive. Too Much To Ask, but thats not exactly what I'm looking for. Okay, how about Losing Grip? Yeah, yeah."
"Dude you have until 6pm tomorrow. Sleep on it, don't stress yourself out." I reminded her, the rest of the guys giving me this look I can't describe.

Ruby was the closest thing to home I'll ever know in this life

The rest of the night was really fun. We shared a hotel room by ourselves, so I was really able to loosen up. We watched a shit ton of Friends and Seinfeld and even began writing a song.
"So you go and make it happen do your best just keep on laughin'..."
I love her so much.

Ruby, hit that California sand, slipped right through my hands eventually...

I was broken down. It was our tenth concert and we were playing in L.A.
I walked up to Avril and Jesse's tour bus right before. As I walked to the door I heard giggling, and moaning. I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around and walked away. And to think that was the night I was going to confess how much I loved her.
