Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh,
Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh
You don't say it like you mean it
I don't mean it like I say

"I'm fine." The bitter lies come off her tounge, filled with venom and poison. I know her. The way she says it is a clear sign she doesn't want to anyone to be concerned, even though they should be.
The whole ordeal began when were driving from London to York. She had gotten in a fight with Jesse backstage after her concert and clearly wasn't in her normal mood. I asked if she was alright and that's when the horrid lie flew out of her mouth.
"No, you're not."
"Then why the fuck did you ask?" She yelled, alarmed herself and taken aback by the words and tone she had spoken. "Sorry, you're right I really didn't mean it like that it's just- ah, nevermind."
"No, I don't blame you. I heard you two fighting after the concert." She looked up, kinda scared. She seemed afraid, or curious.
"Y-You did?"
"Well I didn't hear what you guys said, but-" She relaxed. Were they arguing about something she didn't want me to know? I brushed it off.
"Oh, okay." She laughed a bit before her face fell back into the sad exterior.
"Hey, don't be sad. I hate to see someone I love so much upset."
"What?"
"As a friend, y'know? You're one of my best friends and I love you."
"Oh, yeah." She smiled.
She didn't mean it when she said she was fine.
I didn't mean it when I said I only loved her as a friend.

Morning left us both defeated
It's been one of those days
So I'll have dinner on the table
You can help me pour the wine
The paper calls for sun tomorrow
If we make it through tonight
