Chapter 12: Rain

Hye Jin refused to take the car today. She wanted to commute on her way home. She was indeed exhausted but it seemed like she wanted to spend some time walking alone.

Cars were passing by the roads, the city turned its lights on. It was starting to get dark.

Hye Jin began to ponder on how her life was totally a lot different now compared to her first day of school at Regal Academy.

From a timid geeky who always hid from the spotlight, who would have thought that she would transform into someone who stands in her convictions, bold and now confident.

All her life, she had been a follower. Hye Jin never thought that she would also be a leader.

Hye Jin smiled as she was walking down the street. Her thoughts shifted to Johnny.

She wondered how unexpected it was of him apologizing to WinWin.

Honestly, Hye Jin was regretting everything she had said to him. She wanted to say sorry but doesn't know how.

Hye Jin shook her head and because she was out of her senses. It was then she noticed that two men were approaching her way.

She couldn't clearly recognize their faces because it was quite dark. They looked scary.

"Hi, miss!". One of them called out who was smoking a cigarette.

Hye Jin was about to turn her back to them and walked the opposite direction when suddenly the man rushed towards her and grabbed both of her arms tight.

"Ooh, pretty lady, why such a snob?". The man whispered.

They were probably drunk as Hye Jin could smell alcohol lingering through their breath. It was disgusting.

Fear started to crawl in her veins. Hye Jin was trembling.

"Yup! Don't be afraid, little lady. We are good guys". The man said as he puffed the cigarette smoke to her face.

Hye Jin coughed as she inhaled it.

"Please, let me go! I'm begging you. I don't have any money!". Hye Jin hollered as she was crying.

"Don't worry, we are not after your money". The man said, holding Hye Jin's arm as he looked at her from head to foot with a pervert stare.

Hye Jin was quivering. "Please don't do this to me. HELPPPP!". She shouted on top of her lungs.

The two man chuckled. "That's useless. No one will be here to help you, little lady". The other man said as he threw away his cigarette.

"Hold her tight, buddy!". He ordered as he was getting closer with his hands reaching out to unbotton her blouse.

"NOOOOOO!". Hye Jin was crying as she was trying to pull away.

"LET HER GO!". Someone shouted.

The man who was about to touch Hye Jin turned his back to face the person.

Hye Jin turned her head to see who it was. "Johnny?". She muttered.

The man hissed as he was walking towards Johnny.

"Ya! You, boy! So brave, huh? Who do you think you are?". He shouted at Johnny's face.

"You heard me. I said LET! HER! GO!". Johnny growled as he grabbed the man's collar in front of him.

The man holding Hye Jin's arms let go of her as he also rushed towards Johnny to attack him.

Johnny punched the man's face and in an instant, he was down on his knees.
