Chapter 34: Girl's Talk

Bemused. That was all Hye Jin was feeling knowing that she had a crush on three guys who were special to her and after one of them confessed his feelings.

She couldn't focus in class. Her body was present, but her mind was absent.

In addition to that, Doyoung and Taeil seemed to be acting weird that morning.

They kept whispering something to each other.

Everytime Hye Jin tried to ask them what they were talking about, they would tell her it was nothing.

Hye Jin definitely knew that both of them were lying.

Hye Jin was sitting alone at the library.

She wanted to do a review for her long quiz on calculus, but she just stared at her notes for half an hour with her chin resting on her hand.

Yebin who just borrowed some books saw Hye Jin. She then approached her table.

"Hello, Officer Song!". Yebin greeted.

Hye Jin almost jumped at her seat in surprise upon hearing Yebin's voice.

Yebin giggled. "I'm so sorry, did I scare you?". She asked.

"Oh, no! I'm sorry, Yebin, but I was just out of my mind". Hye Jin replied as she forced a laugh.

"Can I have a seat?". Yebin inquired, referring to the seat at the opposite side of the table.

Hye Jin nodded as Yebin placed her books on top of the table and took a seat.

"You seem to be bothered about something, Officer Song?". Yebin concernly asked as she noticed that Hye Jin looked troubled.

Hye Jin pouted. "Yes, I am". She replied

Yebin reached for Hye Jin's hand as she squeezed it gently.

"What is it? Maybe I can help". Yebin said as she flashed a comforting smile.

Hye Jin looked at Yebin and she could feel her concern just by looking at her eyes.

Hye Jin just met Yebin once before, but she knew that she could trust her.

"Is it about your love life, or about boys, perhaps?". Yebin added.

Hye Jin was impressed upon hearing Yebin's words, she thought that she could read her mind.

Hye Jin then just nodded and shyly smiled.

"I knew it!". Yebin exclaimed as she clapped her hands.

Hye Jin pursed her lips, feeling a little bit hesitant if she would tell Yebin or not.

Yebin then noticed that Hye Jin looked uneasy.

"Officer Song, if you're not comfortable sharing it with me, then it's okay". Yebin uttered as she smiled.

"No, no. I'm sorry, I'm just really shy. But, since you're a girl, I think it's better for me to ask your opinion about this". Hye Jin said as she sighed.

"Spill". Yebin said as Hye Jin nodded.

"Well, umm... I have a crush on these three guys who are really special to me, but I'm still unsure of what I'm truly feeling for them. And what confuses me more is that one of them already confessed his feelings for me". Hye Jin said.

Yebin giggled. Then, she leaned closer to Hye Jin so that the students inside the library could not hear what she had to say.

"Just a wild guess, Officer Song, but are the guys you just talked about Seo Young Ho, Lee Taeyong and Kim Dong Young?". Yebin asked.
