ch.2 The Party

When I woke up i went downstairs to get a drink. I opened the fridge and drank out of the carton of milk.

I went back to bed and woke up around 4pm but it was okay because it was Saturday.
The taste of the milk lingered in my mouth as I stretched.

Vanessa came into my room.
"Finally youre awake." she said happily.

"Your little friend called wanting to come over" she added.

"Oh what did you say"? I said kinda angrily.

"I told him he can and he'll be here around 6 to have dinner with us" she said smiling.

"His mothers a nice woman her and I are having lunch tomorrow "

"Seriously" I said irritated.

She smiled and closed my door.

I wasnt sure weather to be happy or mad about her meeting his mom and or about him coming to dinner with us.

I knew one this was for certain. I needed to shower.

By the time I got done I sat infront of the mirror and wondered what to do.

I glanced at the clock and it soon read 5:00.

I quickly threw on a white shirt tucked in high waisted jeans and a beige thin jacket (like a pull over.) with white converse.

I curled my hair at the ends. My hair was down to the bottom of my breast. But with it curled it was a little shorter.

My mother knocked on the door.

She opened it as I was doing my makeup.

"Olivia" she said.

"Yes" I said as I was finishing up filling in my eyebrows.

"You don't need all that makeup" she said.

"Well I know how to do makeup right?"

"Right" she said.

"Then why not put my skills to use" I said happily.

"Well that's true but okay not a lot though "

"Fine just eyebrows,concealer, lipgloss, eyeliner, and eyeshadow" I said.

"Just eyebrows and eyeliner "

"Fine" I said vigorously.

She closed my door and I put on eyeliner and highlight but oh well.

I just liked how it looked.

I glanced at the clock and it read 6:10 then a knock came at my door.

Vanessa opened the door. "Hes here" she said.

I stood up and walked downstairs and peeked before I went down.

Harvey was wearing a Grey hoodie and black jogger type pants.

Then I slid on my shoes and headed down.

Mario glanced at me first then Harvey turned around and smiled.

"Well it turns out you two won't be join us for dinner" Vanessa said.

"Oh how come" I said .

"Harvey said hes going to take you somewhere and afterwards you don't have to ask you can stay the night with his sister" she said blaintly. Harvey kissed my mother on her cheek then held out his arm.

"Bye V" I said as I interlocked arms with Harvey.

Once we got outside I spoke. "I thought you only had two brothers?"

"Oh no i do i just wanted you to stay the night at my house. My niece is there and she's like a sister so if your mom asks mine it all fits in " he said smirking.

"Oh lord" I said rolling my eyes.

"Where are we going?" I said.

"A party" he said smiling.

He walked over to his car and opened the door for me. When I got in he walked over to his side and got in.

"So wheres this party at" I asked.

"My friend named Caleb" he said as we backed out the drive way.

My heart instantly jumped.

"Oh " I said. As I turned up the radio.

because the song 'havana' by Camilla Cableo and I just couldn't miss THAT song. I sat there. My hands sweating. I kept looking up and down and eventually just everywhere.

Harvey looked at me . "what's wrong"?

"Oh um nothing ".

"Somethings wrong," he said putting his hand on my thigh.

"Just nervous for the party that's all" I said rubbing my hands together.

I slowly moved my hand down my thigh and caught Harvey's hand.

He took his from underneath mine and held mine.

"Its okay. Everyone's probably nervous".

Once we arrived to the party I could barely breathe.

I was so nervous.

When we stepped out of the car you could just hear the music. It was like a dream.

I turned over to Harvey. "Pinch me " .

"Do what now"? He said laughing.

"Pinch me please" I said looking into his eyes.

"I don't hurt females" he said laughing "sorry".

I playfully punched his arm.

He grabbed my hand and we went for the door.

As he knocked I let go. My feelings for Caleb got in the way.

Caleb opened the door and smiled. God I missed that smile .

He said . hey Harvey and." He stopped for a moment and then said. "Nope I can't remember that pretty face".

I piped out. "Well the name that belongs to this pretty face is Olivia."

"Oh you're science class Olivia". He said holding out his hand.

"Come on" he said.
Harvey had a dirty look on his face.

I put out my hand and he took me into the living room and handed me a drink. I was literally getting a drink from Caleb.

I could hear Harvey calling my name but.

Then from there it was all blank.
