Chapter 1
-----Today was the day. All the trouble and mistakes I had gotten into I was leaving behind. Everything was changing progressively fast. We were moving to Elkton, Maryland, with big open fields and lots of cattle. Fun. I wish we were staying in Brookston, Idaho where all my friends were.
-----None of this seemed real, all the changes were getting to my head. It seemed like no one cared. Soon after Jamie, Hazel and I found out about moving we've been in a bad mood. Jamie hasn't eaten for the past four days and he's really starting to worry me. Hazel doesn't play with her princess dolls and ponies, she just threw them into a chest and has been sitting up in her room for the past week. She won't even go to school and we have to bring her meals up there. Me, well I, I've been tired from packing and sick of all the rules we have to follow. When mom and dad aren't home I have to be the big responsible sister they expect. Which means I have to do the all the laundry, cooking, cleaning, everything! Mom always checks in and says "Eloise have you put the dishes away yet?" Ugh, Eloise. I don't like my name why couldn't I have been named something normal like Emily or Hannah.
-----"Eloise. Eloise. Eloise!" Mom shouted.
-----"Hmm, what?" I replied.
-----"Are you awake? We've only been in the car for 20 minutes," Mom explained.
----- We were only near the border of Idaho and we had a long ways to go. I had already fallen asleep. You can't blame me, Ashley and I had a sleepover last night and we were up until 2. In the morning we cried, never being able to see each other again. The only things that was exciting about moving is that I don't have to see Victoria, Deliah, and Allison ever again. They are the mean girls who always created drama, the ones who always caused trouble. They used to be in our clique that we had but not anymore. There the ones who pushed themselves out of the group. We forgave them and gave the many chances but they seemed like it was no big deal pushing us around, so they left.
-----"Yes mother I'm awake," I said in an annoyed voice.
-----"Just making sure, we have a long drive you know." Mom said. "Plus we're going to have to make a lot of bathroom stops for Jamie and Hazel. Jamie's only 7 and Hazel's 4 you know."
-----"Are you excited to move El?" Dad asked.
-----"Ya I guess," I lied.
-----"Well good, you're going to meet so many new friends. Same with Jamie and Hazel."
-----"Yep."
-----"I'm looking forward to moving. We're going to be starting a new and fun adventure!" Mom hopped in.
-----"Totally, cuz' going to new schools and have people making fun of you is super fun," I said sarcastically.
-----"Mommy I have to go the bathroom," Hazel whined.
-----"I told you, you should have gone before we left. But we'll stop in a few minutes," She explained.
