Chapter 5
-----I let out a long sigh after reading the text. I can't believe this. It read "hey, so u moved I'm glad u did. U were just a loser anyway no one ever like u. School is better without u. Bye 👋" guess who that was from, yep Deliah. Why wouldn't it be, she just likes all that stuff and I'm not going to believe it. I don't reply, although she can see I read it. She quickly over exaggerates and responds right away, saying "I know u read this Eloise. ANSWER ME NOW!" I don't respond. After all she's in Idaho and I'm in Maryland, what could she do about it. As I lay on my sleeping bag on the floor I think about everything, my mind just went free. I had got nothing unpacked and I didn't do anything for the rest of the night.
-----Morning came and I just lied there stretching until I finally wobbled out. I looked out the window to see what the weather was today. SNOW!? Already, how could this happen! Winter is the worst season ever, it can't snow, not yet.
-----"Mom did you look out the window yet!?" I asked her as she poured our 1% milk into a bowl of Fruit Loops.
-----"Perhaps it's snowing out," she said shockingly.
-----"But it's only the middle of October," I whined.
-----"I'm sorry El, but you will have to deal with this."
-----"I know, I know."
-----"Now, I poured you some cereal so just eat," she told me and kissed my head then walked away.
-----I ate the fruit loops and then went to go get dressed. I decided to wear jeans and a pink sweatshirt because it's snowing out. For shoes I wore my black boots and I put a flower in my hair. At least I looked somewhat appealing. After that my instinct was to unpack and get my room organized. My shoes were in one huge bin, I have a lot of shoes. Then in other bins were clothes and pictures, pretty much everything else I owned. Although we needed to go the store and buy a bed and bedspread, lights, rugs, a desk, all accessories that I need. Mom had promised me that once we moved I could get all new things. Plus we needed to paint my room! I was thinking a aquamarine color or something like that.
.
-----"Elli can you help me with my room please," Jamie asks politely. He was the only one that ever called me Elli.
------"Sure, just let me ask Mom something first."
-----"No, we're not getting all that today Eloise. We just got here and we can't to everything at once, it's all too much. But don't worry we'll have your room done soon."
-----"So much for that," I mumbled as I walked out of the room into Jamie's.
-----Jamie and Hazel each still had their beds because they couldn't care less. Their rooms were right across from each other's so that means they will be screaming at one another all the time. Dad had put the bed together so I made his bed. He had a green and blue bedspread with a matching pillow. I put up his curtains with a little help from dad, they were also green and blue. I took out his white nightstand from a box along with a blue lamp from pottery barn kids.
-----"Where do you want your toy box and all your toys?"
-----"Over there," he pointed to a corner at the other end of the room.
-----"Ok, where is your toy box?"
-----"Mommy said she would get me a new one so we left it back in Idaho."
-----"Well I already asked if we could go get my stuff today and she said she was too busy so you'll just have to wait for a new toy box."
-----"Ok," he said with dismay.
