Chapter 7

-----I turned and kicked all night long, I couldn't fall asleep. Mom had been in a bad mood all night long and didn't care what us kids were doing. Same with Dad, once he had gotten back inside he was over all the nonsense that we had.

-----"El, Hazel, Jamie, come here please!" Mom yelled from the porch.

-----Oh great she's going to tell at us and make us do something. We all walked out of our rooms at the same time.

-----I picked Hazel up and held Jamie's hand. I could tell they were frightened a little bit by Mom, she's never acted this way before. Jamie pushed the rusted screen door open while we walked out. It made a clinking sound behind us.

-----"Kids, I'm sorry how I acted yesterday. It's just that we've been under a lot of stress lately and we can't do everything at once. I promise we will go get new furniture and accessories today and tomorrow," Mom explained.

-----We all just looked at each other and cracked a smile, knowing that mom was fine now.

-----"Okay," the three of us replied.

-----"Can I get my new toy box now?" Jamie asked.

-----"Sure thing Sweetie."

-----"Okay, because I'm tired of having to shove them under my bed."

-----Mom gave a smiled and lightly pushed us inside.

-----"Let's go get ready, we have a long day ahead of us."

-----Slowly we split up into our own direction, getting dressed for the long day.

-----"Elli!" Jamie hissed.

-----"What Jamie!"

-----"Can you come here please!"

-----"Yep one minute!" I yelled as I pulled on a floral shirt.

-----"Hurry!"

-----I jogged into the other room where I found Jamie's head sticking out of his closet.

-----"What on Earth are you doing?"

-----"I got stuck..."

-----I opened the sliding doors to the closet where Jamie lied on fetal position. Also there was a big scratch on his Jeff where something had bit him.

-----"Are you okay?" I asked.

-----"My leg hurts, help me Elli," he whimpered.

-----I panicked. What would I do? We just stayed there for a minute then I picked him up off the floor onto his bed. That's when I noticed it. Another door just like mine. What could this mean?

-----"How's your leg?" I asked him.

-----"Fine, I guess. But it still hurts," he whined.

-----I sat on the floor for a little while he recovered. As I was wasting my time I tried to open that door with the key from the alarm clock. It did the same thing again! Although I finally saw something worth looking at, this time.

-----"What are you doing Elli?"

-----"Oh-Uh Uh... Nothing," That was a fail and I slammed the door shut.

-----"Are you okay? Because you haven't been acting the same lately."

-----"No, I'm fine, don't worry Jamie. Now I'll leave you alone so you can get ready," Wow. That was close.

-----Since I hadn't done my hair yet I decided to do that. My pink giraffe hair straightener was still in a box somewhere in the living room. As I rummaged through that my mind came across a lot of old things that I had been fond of at one time, though I just decided to let it go. At the bottom of the plastic container was my hair straightener, of course it had to be at the bottom. The plug didn't fit in my room, I don't know why, so I tried the bathroom and that seemed to work. 7 minutes went by and it was getting hot, I straightened it front to back and it was all smooth again.

------Another 7 minutes went by and my outfit today was rather cute. Black leggings with a different colored floral shirt, with black boots, hair straightened, and a bow to match my shirt.

------"Hazel! Jamie! Eloise!" Mom shouted. "Are you almost ready!?"

-----"YES!" We all raced into the car and buckled up.
