She watched them. Everything she had a minute ago slipping quickly and silently through her fingers. Silently because she couldn't hear anything. It was like a silent movie: not everything seemed to make sense. She watched him pull his wife into a tight embrace, their son jumping in to join them. What was she thinking? She wasn't a hero. She was a villain. And villains don't get happy endings.
It happened so fast. It happened so slow. She couldn't pull herself together quick enough. Finally understaning where all of this came from, she turns to Emma.
"You. You did this?" She chokes.
She could feel her blood boil through every poisonous word that she spat. She could feel her heart pound with stabs of pain; pain that she had never felt before. This stabbing of heart continued to remind her that this was not the way to face this, that she had changed but the blood pumping through every vein in her body made her feel so alive and her brain was taking control of her again. She felt that power, that magic, surge through her body, trying to escape but it was her heart that stopped it.
"Well, you just better hope to Hell that you didn't bring anything else back." She swallows holding back the terrible tears she knew were coming.
"I..." She had to get out of there. She felt that urge to run again. The same urge she felt the day she was meant to meet him. "I trusted you." She looks at Emma with those beautifully dark eyes full of pain and suddenly the flashbacks flash before her eyes:
"Regina, we all get our happing ending. We just have to open our eyes to see it."
"Regina, you will get you happy ending."
Didn't they understand? No matter how hard she tries, she will never make it. Happiness was something she would never have and she knew it now. She was surrounded by people who didn't care about her ending (happy or... something else). A mother and daughter that didn't understand the consequences of their actions.
She tears her eyes away from Emma and glances quickly and painfully at the family renunion. Robin didn't even seem to know she was still there and Roland, well he was just a boy. How could she ever compete with a mother and a wife. It was over. And she knew it better than anyone else.
And so she runs. She hears the bell ring behind her as the door shuts quickly. It rings in her ears as she lets it all go. Let it go. She covers a hand over her mouth and slows down around the corner, still walking fairly quickly, tears streaming down her face. Her thoughts and feelings overwhelming her with happy and sad memories and the 'could-have-beens'.

"Emma," Emma stares at the swinging door as she hears her mother's quiet voice. "What have you done?"
She continues to stare at the now fully closed door. "I don't know." She whispers. This guilt that filled her whole body was making her ache. She knew what she had done and remembering only a few minutes ago how calm she felt made her feel ashamed. She might have just unleashed the Evil Queen once again.
I seriously can't be the only one who can't wait another- however many months- until the next season. The way they left it all with Regina was just selfish. She deserves her happy ending. So I'm just going to have to give her one.
... Say Something...
