"ryan, where have you been all night!" his mother screamed at him making him flinch hard. her acrylic nails dug into his skinny wrist, leaving definite marks that'll last at least an hour. her cigarette was slowly burning out in her other hand and she quickly pulled his wrist closer to him, jerking his entire body at the same time.
ryan could feel the tears start to gather in his eyes, he knew what was coming. he felt like he was in a classic scene out of a sad coming of age movie. "where the fuck have you been?" she said again, her voice hard and grainy once they hit ryan's ears. "i was out." he said simply once he felt the cigarette bud burn his skin. his response was in more of a pathetic whimper but, he didn't want to acknowledge it.
"doing what? going off and sucking cock. fucking pathetic." she took the deteriorating cigarette away from his skin before slamming it back into his wrist, holding it there and staring her teary eyed son in the eyes, scowling she pulled him by the hair towards the ground before leaving upstairs.
ryan sat there, biting his lip to keep in the pathetic sobs collecting in his throat. he pushed his hair out of his face, moving towards his room to tends to his blistering skin.
