The ship shook violently sending me to wake up.

"Oh no." I said as the alarms fires off.
What was happening?

-Many days before-

"I already told you to send the signals.." I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration

"Well General-" the trooper said

"I don't care what General Hux said. I am your division Commander, and I DEMAND you - to stick to your post and get in your ship with the others and fire at those Resistance ships."

"Yes Commander."
I smirked and nodded to the idiot.
Phasma's troops were strong. But not strong enough. She believed her grasp was strong on them but I didn't think it was enough.

Supreme Leader Snoke wanted all of the division leaders at a meeting in a few hours and I was honestly nervous about it.

"Commander Laurent."

"Yes?" I asked looking at the pale faced officer.

"General Hux wants to speak with you."

"Patch him in." I cleared my throat. I had a horrible feeling about this call for some reason. He never called me directly when I was working at my post.

"Right here?" The woman asked

"No.. my chambers." I sighed and walked through the halls of the large ship..

I punched in the code for my private room and pressed the call button on my protocol droid.
"PZ-2DP, accept the call from General Hux."

"Yes. I am accepting the call from General Hux." she spoke and nodded as the blue lit figure of Hux was projected into my room.

"Commander Laurent. How many times do we have to speak about proper protocol with the Stormtroopers? Captain Phasma has constantly been bothering me about your behavior. You've become careless. DO YOU... not understand that the Supreme Leader will punish you severely if you continue to not follow protocol."

"Yes General but you have to understand I get this feeling that-"
He interrupted me hastily

"About what? Listen to me Commander. We are sending you on a mission. It's a dangerous one so be prepared for this."
and for the first time in my existence Hux loosened up. His shoulders dropped and his hands unfolded to his sides. "We're sending you to D'Qar"

"THE RESISTANCE BASE?" I yelled
He was mad. Supreme Leader Snoke was Mad. The entire First Order was MAD. "Is this.. is this my punishment for disobeying protocol?" I yanked my first order hat off and threw it across the room. I stared at the hologram of Hux.

"No. Listen Commander. We're attacking the base tomorrow night. And you'll be dressed as a captive from Naboo. You'll fake escape from our grasp and land right into the arms of Leia and her filthy rebels. We need information."

Naboo was my home planet. I remember reading it in the archives of my file when the First Order took me in after my parents had fled...
"So.." I paused. "I'm a spy?"

"Yes. A spy. It will work out just fine. We need information on where they are fleeing to after we blow up their base on D'Qar. We also need information on the location of Luke Skywalker. It is crucial for you to follow through on this." He was still speaking to me on a normal level. "All things aside. Commander Laurent, you're important to us all. Please understand this is a job only meant for the right person. That person is you. You are our key."

"Understood." This wasn't just a job. This was life and death. I could die on this mission.

"And Commander." Hux spoke softy. "Please don't get to involved with irrelevancies. We need factual evidence to help us destroy the Resistance. That is our mission."
I nodded to him.
