Ch.51 Yes

(Shanes POV)

I got down on one knee ready to ask the biggest question of my life.

Shane: Joey, I love you and I want to spend the time that I have left on this earth, with you. Will you marry me?

My heart...its racing, like crazy.

My mind is telling me he'll say yes.

He's taking a while to answer.

He smiles...good sign.

(Joeys POV)

Will you marry me.

Those are the words I was terrified to ask him. And now...he's asking me!

I started to tear up, and smile.

Joey: yes! of coarse!

I saw a look of relief and happiness in his eyes.

We hugged.

both tearing up now.

im getting married to the man I love!

I'm both excited and...well sad.

Because I wont get to grow old with him. He'll probably be gone in 5 weeks.

That's exactly why we need to make the most of the time we have together.

Shane: I love you so much.

Joey: I love you too.

I smiled again. I cant help it! Shane, the love of my life, just asked me to marry him!

We fell asleep a few hours later, while still hugging, on the ground.

(Shanes POV)

The sunlight woke me up. I almost forgot we were out here. But how could I? Right in this very spot, is the spot I asked the love of my life to marry me. This place, our place, is very special to me.

Joey is still sleeping. So cute. He's the only one to make me truly smile.

I stood up off the ground, a little sore from the hardness of where i was lying down.

I loved looking out at the lake, Our lake. It's so, wide and...the sun shining on it makes it even more beautiful. It's breathtaking.

Joey: Hey fiancé

I heard joey in his sleepy voice.

I then turned around and smiled.

Shane: Hey.
