My life was in black and white
Until I met you
That's when hues and colors
Brought my world to life
And I asked if you saw it too
But you tilted your head and asked
"What are you talking about?"
I tried to explain,
But you looked at me
Like I was crazy.
"The grass is green,"
I tried to say
But you didn't know what green looked like
You only saw black and white
Like I used to
Until I met you.
My heart shattered
And fell to the floor.
You were my soulmate,
I just wasn't yours.
