On this day,
We celebrate
Our freedom and independence.
Fireworks explode
Nobody realizes that we're on our own.
We are free!
Just like we were born to be.
Do you hear the cries of glee
That are our reward for such victory?
Do you know the price,
The dedication and the sacrifice
That it took to live this nice?
Today, we have it good
Just like we thought we should.
Back then, everything was hectic.
Now, everything has turned electric.
Soldiers fought and died.
Yeah, they gave their lives
For a country they believed in
And for future generations.
We are free!
Just like we were born to be.
Do you hear the cries of glee
That are our reward for such victory?
