It was 3AM, no time for mistakes. No time for nothing but running. Sage and I gathered our things, not that we had much anyway. I took a deep breath, looking at our open window. I clenched my fist, tensing my toes. I squeezed through the window while Sage waited at the other side. Once I was out, we dashed towards the South of Victoria. We ran and ran to the closest bus stop, my feet, legs... My entire body, it grew tired with every step. It would have been easier if I didn't have a huge bag on my back.
I ran beside Sage, holding her hand tight as rain poured down on us. I was wearing a large Crooks & Castles hoodie with huge pockets, great for stealing. As pants I wore black leggings and black Jays.
Soon enough we arrived at the bus stop, we sat in the booth on the benches, holding hands in fright. I glanced at her, frowning at first. But as I looked into her gorgeous hazel eyes, I couldn't help but smile. Sage smiled back, holding my hand tighter. She let go, fixing my hood and holding my face gently. She moved her soft finger to where a rain drop was and wiped it off, subtly biting her lip. I felt my heart beat quicken.
Suddenly, we heard the sound of the bus stopping. We got out bus money, rushing on and throwing the change in the slot.
We quickly sat down in the back, hoods up and my head on her shoulder. I felt her fingers run through my long, black hair.
As we sat waiting, I glimpsed over to Sage, anxiety welling in my stomach.
"We're gonna be safe there, right?" I whispered, nervousness bleeding from my deep, amber brown eyes.
Sage nodded softly, her gorgeous face moving up and down. "I'll keep you safe, Aquila. Don't worry." She whispered back in a dove like, silvery yet deep voice.
I smirked softly, closing my eyes and resting my head on her shoulder.

When the bus stopped, I had never felt so nervous. Sage sat up instantly, waking my tired self up. I blinked my eyes open in surprised.
"Are we here?" I mumbled sleepily, stretching and yawning in unison.
Sage grinned a tad, nodding her head. "Yup." She said, grabbing my hand and rushing me to my feet. She hurried off the bus, out the door and into the streets.
We walked for a while, my feet still aching. We strolled down the street ever so nervously. I held her soft hands tight in fright as we walked through the dark night.
