Chapter 22- A Different Point of View

Chloe's POV

I was sat near my window looking at shining moonlight. I was deep in my thoughts, thinking of my past memories.

10 years ago...

"Chloe honey, time to wake up..." My mom spoke softly.

I opened my eyes slightly only to be blinded by the sunlight. I quickly closed my eyes pulling the covers over my head. "I don't wanna get up..." I whined. 

"Oh well, I guess I'll have to tell Marinette and Nathaniel you can't play today..."

I immediately threw the covers off my head. I felt a smile spread across my face,"MariBerry and Nathy are coming today?!"

She chuckled, "Yes sweetie, that's why you need to get ready."

"Ok mommy, let's get ready!" I grabbed her hand and we began to get ready for the day. After I got dressed we had our favorite breakfast, Honey Blueberry Pancakes with Apple juice! A few hours later the doorbell rang. I ran towards the door trying to reach for the doorknob. My mom boosted me up and I turned the doorknob. The door opened and there stood Marinette and Nathaniel. I was gently placed on the ground and ran towards them. "MariBerry! Nathy!" I exclaimed. 

"Hi Clo!" Marinette smiled.

"Hi CoCo!" Nathaniel exclaimed.

"Well hello you two, come on in." Mom spoke.

We rushed inside and went towards my playroom. "Let's play tag!" I spoke happily.

"Okay!" They replied.

I poked Nath's nose, "Tag your it!" I turned and ran as fast as I could.

"Hey I didn't know we were starting." Nath whined.

I giggled, "Well you can't catch me!"

"We'll see about that, CoCo." He uttered.

I turned my head slightly, and saw he was gaining speed and was close behind me. Eventually, he caught up to me and tapped my shoulder. I turned around to face him.

"I told you so." He teased. 

I pouted knowing that he will always tease me about being faster than me.

"Kids! would you like some snacks?" Mom called out.

"Yes!" We all exclaimed.

"Last one to the kitchen is a rotten egg!" Marinette yelled out.

A few hours later...

"Bye Clo." 

"Bye MariBerry." I hugged her.

 "See you soon, CoCo." He ruffled my hair before turning to leave.

"See you Nathy." I replied shutting the door  behind them.

My mom was sat on the couch watching tv. "Mommy, when is Daddy coming home?"

"I'm not sure." She answered in a monotone voice.

"Will he be back for dinner?" I asked curiously.

"I don't know Chloe," She answered bitterly. "Please go play or something."

"Okay." I answered sadly. I walked towards my room and sat on my bed. I grabbed my teddy bear Mr. Cuddly and hugged him tightly. "I wish mommy and daddy would stop fighting Mr.Cuddly." I whispered. I heard the front door creak open and I ran into the living room with Mr. Cuddly. I entered the living room and saw my dad. "Daddy!" I exclaimed happily. I ran into his arms, he hugged me tightly.
