Chapter 25- The Reality Of Things

Adrien's POV

It was around 4:30 when I finally got back home from fencing practice. I was in my room laid on my couch. I stared up at my ceiling thinking over today's events.

~~This morning

I woke up to the ringing of my alarm. I got up and did my usual morning routine. Once I was done, I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs.

When I walked into the dining room it wasn't a surprise that I was alone. I should be used to having my meals alone by now, but I'm not... a part of me always hopes one day that my father and I could have meals together. Yet I know that will never happen. We stopped having meals together once mom disappeared... We're growing farther apart with each day that passes, which left an empty feeling inside of me. Some days it feels like I don't have parents at all... I shook those thoughts out of my head and sat down and started to eat my breakfast. 

~~Magical Time Skip to School

When I entered the school I spotted my beautiful Princess. I noticed her hair was down and flowed down to her shoulders. I walked up to her until I was behind her. I put my hands over her eyes making her stop in her tracks, "Guess who?" I whispered.

She put her soft hands on top of mine, "Hmm...I don't know, can I get a hint?" My princess asked in a teasing tone.

"Well...I'm probably the person on your mind 24/7," I whispered.

"Shawn Mendes!"  She replied cheerfully.

I laughed, "No." I dropped my hands from her eyes and grabbed her by the waist, turning her towards me. The moment our eyes locked, I couldn't help but, get lost in her gorgeous bluebell eyes. My hands softly caressed her waist, as I continued to study her facial features. My gaze lingered down to her lips, her soft pink kissable lips. I lifted my gaze back to her wide bluebell eyes. Her face burned with a blush noticing my lingering gaze. I couldn't help it she's so beautiful and she's mine.

"You look amazing as always." I smiled. 

"I love his smile." She said suddenly.

I pecked her lips, "I love your smile too, Princess."

Her eyes widened in shock, "...I said that out loud didn't I?"

I chuckled, "Yes you did." I removed my hands from her waist and took her hand into mine. We walked to Mari's locker hand in hand, having a few minutes before class begins. Hmm... I wonder why she said, Shawn Mendes? I've only heard his name around here and there.

"So...Shawn Mendes?" I raised an eyebrow questionably.

She glanced up at me,"I like his songs, not to mention he's easy on the eyes." She teased playfully.

I gave a fake pained look, "Oh you wound me, Princess." I sighed dramatically.

She giggled cutely, "I was joking! I love his songs, but you're more handsome."

I love her giggle it's like music to my ears. Even her smile just brightens up my day.

"Hmm...are you sure?" I smirked.

"Y-Yes." She stammered. An adorable blush forming on her cheeks.

"Why did you stutter?" My smirk widened.

"Why are you smirking?" She remarked.

"I asked you first Princess," I replied back.
