Marinette's POV

I woke up the next morning to my alarm blaring in my ear. I groaned picking up my phone turning off the alarm. I laid in bed debating whether I should get up or not. Unfortunately, I didn't have a choice in the matter.

"Marinette! Start getting ready for school!" Mama yelled.

I rolled out of bed and headed to my bathroom. I grabbed my toothbrush along with toothpaste and started brushing my teeth. Ugghhh...I wish it was Friday. I know I shouldn't be complaining since we had a few days off before resuming school. The events of what happened right after school yesterday are still vivid in mind. It was shocking yet, what was James' motive? The evil glint in his eyes showed that he wasn't backing down anytime soon. One thing for sure is I'm not going let him push me around. I'm not his little puppet to play around with, I wouldn't go out with him ever. Hopefully, he'll stop bothering me soon, because honestly, I don't want a repeat of yesterday or worse...

Once I finished brushing my teeth, I hopped into the shower. Once I was done I went to pick out my outfit. I decided to wear a light pink sweater dress with black knee-high boots. I kept my hair down curling the tips of it and putting on a bit of mascara. I looked at myself in the mirror before heading into my room.

I went towards my bed picking up a sleeping Tikki. I placed her gently into my purse and grabbed my things heading downstairs.

I put my stuff down near the front door and headed to the kitchen. The scent of cinnamon roamed around the kitchen and living room area. I walked into the kitchen and sat on the stool near the counter. "Morning Mama, it smells amazing!" I complimented.

She turned away from the stove, "Good morning honey! And thank you." She smiled. "I made cinnamon french toast, want some?" She asked.

"Yes please!" I replied happily. She set down the plate of cinnamon french toast with berries on top. I kissed her cheek, "Thanks, Mama."

She smiled warmly, "You're welcome, I'm going to help your father in the bakery. Have fun at school." She hugged me quickly before heading towards the door of the bakery's kitchen.

"I'll try, see you later," I replied.

Once she left I ate my breakfast savoring the flavor of each bite. When I finished breakfast, I put my dishes in the sink. I checked the time and I had 12 minutes before school started. I grabbed my backpack and purse, on my way out of the house. I walked across the street reaching school in no time. I walked up the steps, opening the door entering the school. I strolled towards my locker hoping for the time to pass quicker. I stopped mid-step when I felt a pair of soft, warm hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" A familiar soothing voice whispered in my ear.

I put my hands on top of the person's hands, "Hmm...I don't know, can I get a hint?" I asked in a teasing tone.

"Well...I'm probably the person on your mind 24/7." He whispered.

"Shawn Mendes!" I replied cheerfully.

He laughed, "No." He dropped his hands from my eyes and grabbed me by the waist, turning me towards him. The moment our eyes locked I could see the gleam of happiness in his emerald eyes. His gaze was warm and soothing, his hands softly caressed my waist. He continued to look at me studying my facial features. I felt my face burn up when his gaze lingered on my lips.

"You look amazing as always." He smiled. I love his smile.

He quickly pecked my lips, "I love your smile too Princess."

My eyes widened in shock, "...I said that out loud didn't I?"

He chuckled, "Yes you did." He removed his hands from my waist and took his hand into mine. We walked to my locker hand in hand, having a few minutes before class begins.
