Miraculous- Happy Ever After...?

Chapter 21- Very Unexpected

Adrien's POV

I slowly closed the door making sure it didn't creak. Once I closed the door,  I turned to walk upstairs. That's until I saw the person stood in front of me. Oh no! 

"Adrien Agreste! Where have you been?!" My father shouted.

I flinched from the anger in his voice. "Well...I went for a walk and lost track of time..." I responded sheepishly.

"Don't lie to me Adrien! I don't have time for your games. So, you're going tell me where you were right now!" His voice boomed.

My eyes widened from his current behavior. I've never seen him this angry before. "I went to Marinette's house." I answered softly.

"And what were you doing there?" He tried questioning calmly.

"Because she needed me." I whispered.

"Why is that?" 

"Because that's what a boyfriend is supposed to do for their girlfriend." I answered sarcastically.

"WHAT?!" He yelled.

"You heard me father, I  went to my girlfriend's house." I responded with confidence.

"Did I give you permission to date?" He asked irritated.

"I don't need your permission." I scoffed.

"Excuse me?! You better end this relationship tomorrow young man!"

"No!"

"What... did you just sa-."

"You heard me, I'm not going to end my relationship just because you said so." I answered feeling the rage bubble up inside me.

"And why not?!" He demanded.

"Because I LOVE HER!" I shouted. Silence filled the air after my last spoken statement.

He chuckled dryly, "You don't what love is."

"Yes I do, since we've been together she makes me feel loved." I answered in determination. 

He laughed dryly, "Please Adrien, don't be naive, she probably doesn't even love you. She's probably with you because you're a famous model and the son of the most famous fashion designer in Paris."

"That's not true! Marinette is the most loving, talented, and caring, and selfless person I know! ...Unlike you. If mom was here she would be disappointed in the way you've been acting."

 His face turned a dark shade of red, "GO TO YOUR ROOM!" His voice boomed.

I flinched from the sudden loudness of his voice and marched angrily upstairs. I slammed my door shut still feeling the anger bubble inside me. I put my back against the wall sliding down until I was sat on the ground. I sighed rethinking the words my father and I shared through that heated argument. I never thought he would say such cruel things about me and my Princess. I guess I was wrong *sigh* Plagg flew out of my pocket and faced me.

"You ok kid?" He asked concernedly.

"I guess." I sighed. Not knowing how to feel about the way my father reacted.

"Wanna get some air?" Plagg asked with a warm smile.

"Yeah, that would be nice." I smiled back. I got up and locked the door and went towards my bed and put pillows under the covers. I turned around to face Plagg, "Plagg claws out!" Plagg was sucked into my ring and I was transformed into my alter ego Chat Noir. I quietly opened my window and leaped into the night. I jumped from building to building letting the cool night breeze tickle my face.

 I realized that I was close to Marinette's house. In my sight of vision I noticed that her terrace lights were on. I moved closer to her house, until I was one building away. With my catlike vision I could see Mari leaning against the bar of her terrace. My eyes shifted and I saw something on her shoulder. No...it can't be a kwami?!?! I blinked a few times making sure I wasn't seeing things, but the red and black spotted kwami was still sat on Marinette's shoulder. No, No I'm just tired that's all right? Marinette can't possibly be....no it can't be. My eyes widened when the realization dawned over me that kwami was Ladybug's. That means...Marinette is Ladybug!!!!

   How could I have been so blind. M'lady was right in front of me this whole? I didn't have to let go of my feelings for her. I fell in love with the same person twice!  I glanced back at terrace to see that Mari had gone back inside. I decided to go back home and digest the new information I've discovered. Once I was back into my room I detransformed, I was still in disbelief from the recent news I've discovered. "Oh my god! Plagg did you see that?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes I did, you finally figured it out." He mumbled.

My eyes widened, "You knew?!" I whispered in disbelief.

"Yes! Took you long enough... you're so dense." He complained.

"No, I'm not." I huffed.

"Yeah you're totally not dense, since you didn't know your girlfriend was Ladybug." He answered sarcastically.

I gaped at his sudden sarcasm, "I guess you have a point." I sighed in defeat.

"Oh ho ho, I'm not done kid."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "What are you talking about?"

"Well that you were so dense about her feelings for so long. Do you know how many times I wanted to yell in your face, that your true love is standing right in front of you!" He rolled his eyes, "Like really kid even a blind person could tell she had feelings for you!"

"Why are you lecturing  me about this when we're already together?!" I questioned in disbelief. 

"I just needed to let you know how dense you were." He smirked.

"Gee thanks Plagg." I replied rolling my eyes.

"So, are you going tell her?" He asked.

"Well I can't just go up to her and say 'Hey I know you're Ladybug,' she would freak out!" I exclaimed.

"You don't know that, but it would be better if you tell her sooner than later." He reasoned.

"I know, I just have to figure out how to say it without freaking her out." I sighed.

"You should sleep on it kid." He suggested.

"Yeah great idea."I smiled.

"Well... before you do, mind giving me some camembert?" He smirked.

"You and your camembert..." I rolled my eyes, handing him a piece.
