Secrets Without Shame (A Pokémon Fanfiction)

Author's Note | Before Starting

Apparently I'm making these Author's Notes for all my books now XD Hey guys, it's PureheartTheNeko, and I wanted to add this note to the beginning of the story to let new readers be aware of some things.

If you're reading this book, that means you survived the cringey-ness of Spite Without Shame. Because of that, I applaud you! You've read a book in its entirety that I can't look back on without literally feeling shame, no puns intended!

Hopefully from this point on, the story will not be as cringey. When writing this story, I was introduced to new inspirations outside of writing that helped me become more original with my ideas and plots, and I had learned from my previous mistakes in SWS. In short, this story will most likely be more enjoyable than the other- take my word for it. This story, at the very least, doesn't make me cringe when I look back (most of the time).

But there is one important detail that you need to know; at one point, "Secrets Without Shame" and it's successor, "Searching Without Shame", were all just ONE BIG BOOK. I realized that I had a part in this story that could be considered an ending, and since I've felt depressed because it's felt like I haven't accomplished anything, I broke the book in two. I'm telling you this because I don't want you to be alarmed if there seems to be plot holes or if you're confused, these were all one book at one point so it's all probably answered in the next. At least now I feel like I accomplished something XD

One last thing- at some point, I want to clear out all the A/Ns in this book, as well as unnecessary media. For each book I'm thinking of adding just one music video that fits the overall theme of the story.

To old readers, the new book IS OUT if you're not already aware! It's the new "Searching Without Shame", while part 1 (this book) is now called "Secrets Without Shame"! Either way, thank you for your support through this book, I know it wasn't easy, but I'm glad you guys were here for me ;)

While the song was about being shut out of a significant other's life, I chose it because sometimes when we hide a part of ourselves, it feels like we're shut off from the world and people don't realize something is wrong. The characters in this story, old and new, are unique from the rest and our living on the outside... whether they stay there is decided when everyone knows the truth.]
