You were sitting on the floor tuning your baby blue electric guitar with Malcolm before Calpurnia's rehearsal while playing the musical version of ❝Would You Rather❞.

❛Weezer or ADCD?❜ The blonde boy asked you.

❛Uh. Weezer definitely. Would you rather play backup to Kiss Kill Mary or sing a duet with Seven Death Angels?❜ Malcolm stopped tuning his bass and threw back his head in thought.

❛Ugghhh. That's so hard! If I play backup I could talk to them. But Seven Death Angels? They're legends, dude! Imma say-❜ But before Malcolm could finish Finn and Ayla bursted in the room laughing their heads off. Malcolm and I turned our attention to them and noticed Finn's arm around Ayla's waist. I looked down at my nails in an attempt to ignore them. Malcolm looked from me to Finn and noticed my awkwardness. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and thought for a second. Then seconds later he figured it out, his facial expression showed. With his mouth agape he said

❛Y/n?❜ You looked into his ocean blue eyes. ❛Yeah?❜

❛Do you, uh, ya know... like Finn?❜ He stated his words slowly.

❛What? Ew! No! Of course not!!❜ you sighed ❛Is it that obvious?❜

❛No! I'm your best friend! Though you coulda told me... but don't worry your secret is safe with me.❜

You let out a breath of relief.

❛Thank god, I don't wanna make it awkward with the band and everything...❜

❛Yeah, I totally understand. But I don't think Finn likes Ayla like that.❜ He said as I stood up to plug up my guitar.

I looked across the room only to see Ayla's arms wrapped Finn's arms and Finn's arms wrapped around her waist and their bodies pressed against each other. Still looking at them I told Malcolm.

❛Why don't you see for yourself.❜ Malcolm looked up and across the room to see just what Y/n saw.

He tried to speak to Y/n before she walked out the room with purpose. He shook his head feeling sympathetic for his best friend.
