"your floating, stop it." Dakota glared from across the room as the tailor nearly pricked him. Acacia Huntress bounced excitedly as she floated ever so slightly off the ground. More fey than vampire she was the exception to most of the rules and ways of thinking. pouting she stood back on the ground still managing to look intimidating no matter how odd she was.

"why all of them know already." she complained for the millionth time.

"it's hard to keep track of you with wolf senses if you leave no trail and fey tracking gives me a headache." he grumbled wishing he didnt have to change his wardrobe to the vampire style. earthy worked for him but apparently so did formal according to Acacia and her soon to be fiance, Devlin Darknight. the vampire world was a foreign place still to him and Acacia. it was only a month or so ago when she and Noah Saint had appeared in camp. that was when he'd first been shoved into the spotlight after so many years of being cast aside by all the others, with his help they'd negotiated a truce uniting the packs globally and opened up more possibilities of travel. he wasn't to happy to be in the spotlight but he dealt with it.

after that the next time he'd seen her only a few days later had been quite changing for him, and Noah.

Noah had come back to the pack alone trying to convince us that Acacia had turned rouge so we would have to hunt her down. to the alpha's nothing he was saying sounded right so they didn't believe it. riding into camp like she owned it, he'd led her into the alpha's tent as she took charge even with three members of vampire royalty behind her. taking Noah out with force, he turned on them and like two well practiced dancers performing a ballet, except it was the dance of death and over in seconds, Noah was finished. alpha Nikita had been watching him for many years and noticed the changes that took place when you found your fey warrior. Acacia had been a fey warrior before becoming a vampire and she'd lost her wolf in battle, leaving her feeling guilty that she didn't save him because she had the power too.

"please sir stop moving. it'll make it much faster. the princes' would like these ready all at once and soon too." the tailor grumbled in a deep baritone voice. standing suddenly tree still with a sigh, Dakota quit flinching each time a pin got too close. he was imagining burning them once he got out of there and it kept him still, because he was anticipating it. the less he moved the faster they would be ready to be burnt. a wicked grin stretched across his lips momentarily.

"unlike me Dakota you must breath so why aren't you?" Acacia asked with crossed arms and her tiny foot tapping. looking at the slight movment of the doors behind her Dakota only held his breath a moment longer. at the same time as he let his breath out Devlin snuck up behind Acacia and scared the living shit out of her. Devlin was a smart man when it came to Acacia. she wasnt going to change who she really is just to be loved. she may tweak it for a short period of time but she wont completely change for a man. all she knew for a time was silence and mockery from men who changed her. it still made little sense how Acacia was changed even to the vampires themselves. even if she marries Devlin her last name may not change because his father who changed him has to accept her and so do the rest of the Darknight family members. she was incredibly nervous about that.

"come and leave him suffer to this alone. it it one of the many great evils we men must endure because of status, even if it is forced upon us." Devlin grumbled himself at enduring multiple fittings in one day. he chose the perfect time to take Acacia out for a ride. what they did he didn't care but it got her out of his fur until the torture was over.

"he needs a womans touch though." Acacia argued against both of them knowingly.

"brother i would be happy to assist him as i have done for you in the past." a small girl said appearing out of nowhere. she looked to be no older than Dakota and leaf thin. if a breeze blew in she would go with it. eyes of the brightest blue Dakota had ever seen with hair as dark as the night sky, skin as white as snow. her voice was as sweet as honeysuckle to his ears. hair tied away from her face and a yellow sundress almost made it hard for him to breath and astonished him that he was suddenly interested in someone. especially a vampire as she clearly was one.
